Skip Bayless bashing on Ravens, again

The team have been making to the playoff in the last 4 years with the same group of players; how can one missing player dictate the failure of the team?

Oh and what i really cant stand about him.....they will ask someones opinion and skip will say "i don think you beleive that in your heart of hearts"...basically telling someone they are lying to yourself....such arragoance

Skip is a political character doing sports. He has no solid argument for or against anyone. His "opinions" are always predicated on "if" statements - "If Flacco can take the next step", "If Flacco can prove himself". He's not taking a real side at all. Basically all he's proving is some basic principal of logic, like "If Flacco carries his team to the Super Bowl, then he can be an elite QB". No one would argue that because that's just a blanket statement that could apply to any QB.

Also, his job is to be controversial and make headlines. How else could be possibly call Tebow a good quarterback while simultaneuously calling Joe a mediocre QB? He's getting paid to be an idiot, or he really is an idiot. I never pay attention to what he has to say anyway.

And I could throw right back at you or Skip that one player does not make a team, and if that's the case your team is in trouble. There's no doubt that Suggs drawing some double teams helped the other 10 guys on the field last year, but those other 10 guys still showed up and made the plays. Conversely, good pressure from other guys would force the opponent to recognize it, allowing Suggs to beat some one-on-one assignments and to rack up the sacks he got last year..say it with me, its a TEAM sport. Besides, Suggs isn't drawing all 5 offensive linemen and a blocking TE or back to allow multiple players free runs at the QB, I have rarely ever viewed more than 2 guys blocking one guy in any NFL game. I guess its all a matter of what your precise definition of a "strong" argument is.

It's not the debates and opinions that matter. They're not real. The point is that they can argue any opinion and hold it with a straight face and then show that they don't attach their emotions to it after.

Don't enjoy the show or the characters, was just pointing out the format.

But to your point, no, I don't think he's supposed to be humorous. I think he's supposed to be thick headed and unmovable. The point of the show is that you don't hate that person, you debate them... Poke holes in their "argument" and in the end agree to disagree.

The shows job is to generate advertising dollars. Every time his name pops up in a google search, retweet or other form of media the show makes more money.

If his character makes u mad you write a post about him. He wins.

Seems silly but those that hat Skip Bayless are just as responsible for his popularity as those that love him. Same with Tebow.
