With all the cuts is there anyone to consider?

I would cut Balasavage and bring Cooley here in a heart beat. Without a second thought, too.

What need do we have for Cooley? We have 2 starters in Dickson and Pitta, and Bajema as a great blocker.

Competition. I'd bring him here for competition at the very least, if he would sign on for that purpose. Balasavage has a snowball's chance in Hell of making the 53 man roster. He'll most likely ride the practice squad.

Cooley asked to be cut so he would have the opportunity to start somewhere. While I wouldn't mind him I doubt he'd leave to be a 3rd string TE.
That's the only thing about Cooley, unfortunately. If he would sign for the purpose of being a back-up it would be great. He'll most likely get more money elsewhere. The thing is I don't see any real free agents right now I would pick up for the Ravens except an OLB/DE for competition. I really like the team we have, and I'm not worried about any one position on our team. I'd rather we stick with what we have, but if we are going for any free agent I would like Cooley or someone on the OL upgraded like the LG--but it's really too late for that anyway.

Our 3 TEs will be Dickson, Pitta, and Bajema. Balasavage has nothing to do with bringing in Cooley or not. What does Cooley bring that one of our 3 dont? Plus, there's only 2 days left for "competition" and one day is a game that Cooley wouldn't even play in. We have our 3. Cooley is done.

Lol, perhaps you don't understand what I am saying. Let me make it clear: I don't see any free agents worth bringing, but if there is one it would be Chris Cooley. Bajema is OK. I have no problems with him; however, I could see the Ravens sign Cooley if they thought he would be a good player for them later down the line.

Pitta and Dickson are both coming off of injuries. Dickson hasn't been the most reliable weapon, either. Pitta's hands are good, but he broke one of them and is coming off of that injury. There is no telling how he recovers. Bajema is here because he is the best TE and we need the insurance. For this reason, I could see the Ravens sign Cooley because he can block and he can catch the ball rather well. Problem is, he has had his share of injuries like Heap.

To completely dismiss a player because we are 'set' at the position is crazy. For all you know, Cooley could tear things up. He would be a good player at the very least that would push Bajema to do better. I know it's the end of preseason and the season is nearly here, but competition is never-ending in the NFL. You could be in the game one week and cut the next. I would bring Chris here if the team wasn't comfortable with Pitta or Dickson's recovery. I personally like Cooley and think he is a talented player worth a chance.

I also happen to be his agent.

There's no room for Cooley. We have 3 TEs that are going to make the roster. Dickson and Pitta are injured, yes, but not for the year. They'll still occupy roster spots. Bajema has performed in his time here so far, and has shown he can catch the ball in addition to blocking. There's no way we go for any period with 4 TEs on the roster with the talent were already being forced to cut.

Now, if Pitta or Dickson were to go down for the year, sure, bring Cooley in if he's out there. As stated before, he was released to pursue a starting opportunity elsewhere, which he won't get here. Plus, he's pretty much done. His age is catching up to him. He's not a fit at all for the Ravens

Tori Gurley

6'4'' WR was cut by Green Bay. They have a ton of depth there and I remember hearing good things about this guy.
We have our own depth at WR and you want to look at another teams cut WR. Interesting....

True. Any other year maybe...I'd rather have Gurley than James Hardy.

He just got cut so I dont think he has a lot of bargaining room...as a back-up safety I think he offers more than Considine.

Agree..lol At this point, anyone is better than Considine. He had to be the top 5 worst player I've witnessed in Ravens jersey this preseason.

5th Round Draft Pick LB Tank Carder just got cut from Buffalo!

Now go get him Ozzie!
bills are poised to have one of top 5 defenses this year so any LB they release is worth a look

I guess you messed the part that he was released from GB who is set at WR from top to bottom, and the only way a WR makes that team is because of another WR is retiring, traded, or cant afford them....if GB raves about a WR then he is worth the look in my opinion and 6'4 is something everybody would look at

I disagree about the bills defense statement but they had the best in the start of the season but then they realized that they are the bills...but they do draft LB well but they messed up on maybin over orakpo but i think we still need OLB's, im not confident with ours just yet i have to see them prove they ready

They had a log jam at ILB though so it really wasn't a surprise he got cut but at the same time thought for sure he would have been a special teams player.

You mean a TE made of glass
Yeah right..not that injury prone, has played full season in 6 of his 8 career seasons. Just as many as heap has in 11 career seasons...

I would take Cooley no question. Pitta and Dickson are young and IMO are Question marks. They haven't done much yet.

I'm sure that there will be scouts working all night on who we might pick up. i predict that 2-3 of the players that make the team will be replaced.

LB: Gary Guyton or Rookie Greg Jones
TE: Chris Cooley
Greg Jones isn't a rookie. This is his second year. But anyway, I'm surprised the Giants cut him. I know he lost his starting spot, but they definitely still need depth there.
