Bummer for DeCastro, thats rough news. The Steelers spend their top two picks on Adams, who is looking really poor at this point, and DeCastro, who suffers this injury. What a shame.

Even though I believe DeCastro was playing better than Adams, I feel Adams (if he set his mind to stay straight and train hard) may have more upside. Yes, even though it was the Bills, your offense did look very impressive.

Thats tough... I remember the guys after the draft saying he was actually the best gaurd in the AFCN... ( without playing a single game) He was being pushed around with ease. Granted, Marcell Dareus (sp) is a montser but only second year player himself...

Yeah NFL network and Espn hate us bro. I thought you got the memo. They love Pitsburgh. But no Decastro was not the best guard in the AFCN. Yanda is (Not being biased, Yanda is probably one of the best in the nfl). Dareus could be a monster this year with the addition of Williams and the return of Kyle. Dude is a special player. I wouldn't be suprised if Decastro is the next Gallery. Not a bust but a frequently injured player.

Update: Spence has torn ACL and LCL and dislocated knee cap.

But in all seriousness, I hate to see injuries happen to rookies before they even can begin their NFL Career. Both Decastro and Spence I think would have made for great NFL players but it seems they are going to have to come back from injury where their legs are mostly used which may hurt them in future years.

You know what's ironic about all these injuries? During the game, they showed the typical skyline shots and some close up ones. One of the close up shots was of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. I still haven't decided if it was intentional or not...

Same here. I was hoping we would have drafted Spence. Though, this injury bug has hit the Steelers hard here. Decastro being out means a horrible offensive line again and Ben running for his life from Von Miller in Week 1. Honestly with these injuries I can't see the Steelers starting the season off with a good record or even making the playoffs.

Clark is the only reliable in your secondary. Troy P. isn't what he used to be. His strength was his ability to break fast and be where he could make a play, age has diminished that greatly.

I predict a Broncos win as well.

I would count on it. That is going to hurt your defense, and this is a QB Pass Happy league. Tim Tebow beat you, and now they upgrade to Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning, he is going to do the same thing he always does to the Ravens defense and that is pick them apart. The only reason I say the Jets could beat you guys is because well, Sanchez beat you before, and Tebow did in the playoffs. I will not be surprised to see the Steelers start 0-2.

I'm sure you will be quite surprised how good we look, and Mannings timing being so off. My only concern coming into this game is the high altitude and the players getting tired by the 3rd QT. As far as the Jets, and there 1 touchdown in 4 preseason games (which does mean something) ill put up Rutgers against them and they will lose..LOL.

LOVE Tomlin thank he's the best. However, why would you change your defensive scheme against a QB who's Rating in less than 50% and your the number 1 Defense in the league?
