No way he will repeat those numbers. At least not this year. I'd rather go with consistencey quarterbacks like Brady or Brees. Maybe for a backup qb I will go rookie but it's risky.

I agree. RGIII, Luck, and Wilson all have some upside but I wouldnt want to start any of them.

Yes it's a 12 team league. Originally my father and I were thinking stafford. But idk. We know the 1st pick is Rodgers so he is gone.

Yikes. Dont want to be rude, but that is a pretty bad fantasy team. First off, you should never ever have 2 kickers or 2 defenses. I'm trying to figure out who you took in the first three rounds because I dont see anyone on your roster worthy of a top 40 pick.

Haha. Yeah, that's why I asked what his first pick was. I fear I'm gonna hear P. Manning.

In our league you gotta have 2 kickers and defenses. Because of the bye week.
Only allowed 1 TE
3 wr
Also my dad was involved too. So don't put all the blame on me. Also this only the second time doing this.

Well every league has bye weeks...you just drop a player for that week and pick up a fill-in. You arent starting 2 defenses and 2 kickers right?

I would drop Cundiff and Panthers D and try to get another RB or WR with upside. I dunno who would be available in a 12 team league though.

Dropping costs money. ;) I gotta pick the Panthers for my brother. Also Cundiff is my bro too. Besides Matt Prater is my starter.

That is a pretty rough team Cursona and if I remember from last year this is a 10 team league, no?

Why don't you list some names from the waiver wire, to see if there are any options out there. If it is a ten team league and everybody is required two kickers and two defenses, there should be some prettty good names.

You are severely underestimating this rookie draft class. Wilson and Luck have showed the ability to play against, read, make good decisions, and beat high level defenses in the nfl. (Pitt, KC)

I wont comment on RG3 because his offense has been kept vanilla.

Let me make my case for Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck.

Andrew Luck - He is heralded as the next Peyton Manning and many people cite Peyton's horrible rookie season and rookie seasons in general as a reason why he wont succeed. They are dead wrong. First let me point out that this guy as a rookie is much better than Peyton Manning as a rookie. He has all of the tangibles and the intangibles. Simply put, he does not play like a rookie quarterback. All of the weakness rookies the nfl usually exposes in rookies, he doesnt have. He doesnt feel pressure, he stands tall in the pocket, he can read the defense, he makes good decisions. I fully EXPECT him to eclipse Cam Newton's rookie season. Andrew Luck is just that good. What he lacks in Cam's mobility he more than makes up for as a passer.

Russell Wilson - First let's remove the third round grade from him. That is horse crap. if he were 3 inches taller he would have been in the conversation for the second overall pick with RG3. He has phenomenal decision making ability. He has the arm strength and touch. He demonstrates poise in the pocket and above average mobility to make plays outside the pocket. He is also on a team that is designed for him to succeed. Good o line, good running game, a plethora of wideouts (none great except for maybe rice but still a lot to work with). Let's not forget that he beat out Matt Flynn, who played well in the preseason. This means that he showed more ability than he did. Carrol loves competition and is clearly putting the best player in. This means we should expect better numbers from Wilson than we got from Flynn. If you look at his numbers from a fantasy perspective you get the following for his game 3 performance ( I wont count games 1 and 2 because he faced second teamers)
Remember this is against KC who is expected to have a good defense this year.

13 of 19 for 185 yards with 58 rushing yards and 2 passing touchdowns. That is a total of 20 points with a quarter and a half to go ( 4 + 4 + 5 + 7), which in most leagues would be start worthy and that number will be higher obviously if he finished the game. Thats against a good defense however and seattle plays in a weak division not accounting for the 49ers.

You are way too high on Wilson. He may be decent from a fantasy perspective because of his scrambling ability, but there are no guarantees he even maintains his starter status for the entire season. One game of starting in the preseason is not enough to evaluate him as an NFL QB. You cant just dismiss the fact that he is 5'11. He May be the exception to there is a reason NFL QBs are 6'3 to 6'6. I really like him, but right now he is a fantasy backup with some breakout potential. Luck and RG3 still better options.

Your right he could lose his job, and I am in no way saying that he is a viable starter as of now, but this is a thread for SLEEPERS. I am being high on Wilson because given what we have seen so far, he has proven himself worthy. He is in a system conducive to his success. I really think you are looking at this in an unfair way for him. As far as his height is concerned, why cant I dismiss it. There shouldnt be any cause for concern. He has had 3 games where it hasn't been an issue. Fortunately, height is one of the few things that doesnt change from first team to second team. His ability to see over the pocket shouldnt be an issue given the sample size we have. So really, I think its safe to dismiss the fact he is 5 ft 11 if thats your only cause for concern.

He could get injured, but that can be said of any player.

If not for his height, he would have been in the conversation for the second overall pick. He has shown his skill set translates and that he can play. So I dont see any reason why he cant play. Yes its a small sample size, but we arent saying the same things about Luck or Rg3 (at least we should in Rg3's case since we saw nothing of him really).

It's a tiny sample size in the preseason. Are you kidding me? There have been ZERO successful QBs in the NFL his size. It's like saying yeah I know OTs are normally 6'5 but this 6'0 guy has great technique! If he proves over the course of the season its not an issue than I'll be sold. RG3 and Luck are not 5'11.

Drew Brees - 6ft barely

Michael Vick - listed as 6ft but come on man.

As for the sample size, what is the difference between throwing over your o line in preseason and throwing over it in the regular season, it is the same o line. Due to his mobility he can always do what vick does and run from out the pocket and throw on the move. Im just saying that it should not be an issue.
