Tyrod has been in the system longer, has made some good plays but as the pocket collapses rather than extending the play, he wants to take off up field. History has shown, scrambling QBs tend to go down quickly in this league, meaning we'd be out looking for another back-up.

Curtis is a good compliment to Joe, the same playing style so the O-Line doesn't have to adjust. He's got a strong arm and he's willing to stand in the pocket and extend plays. He has regular season experience. Passing could be a little more on target, but those WRs could catch the ball more as well.

Or, do we keep them both? Use Tyrod for gadget plays and to change the tempo, use Curtis as Joe's real back-up if he goes down? The downside to this option, it takes up another roster spot we could use at another position.

~ Malkavian Raven
I'm siding with Painter.
