Arizona loses OT Levi Brown

17 posts in this topic

This is our first actual injury since the Eagles lost Jason Peters for the year and once again another Left Tackle could be gone for the year. Levi Brown of the Cardinals has a torn right triceps and will miss a minimum of three months. Though, most expect him to be ruled out for the year later today. With 4th Round Rookie Bobbie Massie already starting at RT after beating out veteran Jeremy Bridges, there is a chance that Bridges will now slide over to the left side to replace Brown.

Bad news for the Cards.

Not really bad news, Brown has been one of the worst offensive tackles in the league and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Nate Potter who was a 7th round pick ends up starting at Left Tackle and the Cardinals have a pair of rookie offensive Tackles as their bookend, Massie at RT and Potter at LT.

Still, anytime your starting LT goes down is bad news. Even if he does suck, he still was their best option. It might be good news though if Potter or Massie end up good.

And nothing of value was lost.

Exactly, I have a feeling that Bobbie Massie and Nate Potter would IMPROVE the Cardinals offensive line more so than Levi Brown ever could.

Maybe Ozzie can send one of our Tackles to them.

We got Oher, KO, McKinnie, Reid, Harewood, and Jack Carroll.

Haven't they won something like 5 post season games in their entire history? I don't think the bad times started post Warner...

they gave their second and DRC for Kolb.... so I think their 2013 2nd Round Pick, Daryl Washington(young ILB) and Nate Potter for Michael Oher.

Nate Potter was a name I saw a lot on the boards when it was draft time

Harewood has had surgery to both knees, we still don't know if he has a career

Another young project tackle was being talked about back then

edited for spelling

If I'm a Cards fan I have more faith in Nate Potter than I do Levi Brown.

Nate Potter looked good at Boise (he was probably my favourite mid-late round potential LT) whereas Brown has done nothing but suck his entire career. You can't really downgrade from a guy like Brown.

seriously, I cant believe the cardinals havent addressed this yet. If they fixed their o line, they could probabaly have one of the best teams in the nfc with amount of talent on that roster. If I am the cardinals gm, next draft I draft nothing but o line. If they can get 3 decent starters out of that = playoffs.
