The pass-rush has been underwhelming. I'm not sure if its vanilla scheme or an actual problem at this point.

Thus far this team is really missin sizzle. No pass rush period. I watched the colts/steelers game and the colts pass rush looked better due to paganos schemes. Pass rush will hurt us this yr count on it. Shawn merriman is gettin released, worth it?

It's not just down to Pagano's schemes; Pittsburgh's o-line has looked bad as usual. I'm concerned about the pass rush as well but saying it'll be an issue last season two pre-season contests in is presumptuous. Merriman has been done since '08. I'd sooner call Andre Carter.

One reason I like the hire of Pagano for my Colts. It's nice to see some pressure/blitzing on NFL QB's other than just sending Freeney/Mathias.

[/quote]Apparently. I think our pass rush is fine. We were getting good pressure before the starters got taken out, which happen after a few drives. I don't think our scheme is going to be as vanilla as people think.

The pre-season game is mostly played to determine, what the final line-up will look like and how we will approach the game this season. We lost a ton of players due to injury or they just went to other teams. What was radicly new for the Lions? Matthew Stafford throwing the ball to Megatron a bunch? Yeah, I bet that never happend last season. Did it work against an bad Saints defense against the pass? No. The great Stafford threw 2 INT. It's was just a pre-season game. Just sayin'.
