3/4 of our secondary out today.

Maybe some out next week but how nice would it have been to have that week off so we make sure that everyone is hell

It would have been great to have our regularly scheduled bye week to heal our injuries (especially our secondary) but I guess that's the way it goes.

Like I said when people first started complaining about it, this is football -- it's not supposed to be easy.

If this team wants a bye week, then it better earn it by gunning for one of the top two seeds in the AFC. The great teams back in the day didn't have the luxury of a bye week, so it's not as if it's impossible to play without a break.

This is old-school football with new-school methodology. I'm sure there's been enough advances in medical training and conditioning, as well as pre-game preparation on the part of the coaches, to adjust to a schedule with no break.

I believe a natual disaster is more to blame than the NFL. It would be nice to have a bye week. A lot of our guys are getting weeks off with injuries. We don't have a choice, lets play some football.

If they complained they'd probably be fined.

It sucks but do you really want to screw over Houston after Mother Nature already gave them the once over?

Texans should be like a bye anyway when we stuff their run.

Atleast back then EVERY team had to play through that. But being unrested when every team you face is rested puts you at a major disadvantage. The only game we play where the team wont be more rested then us is the game against the Texans.

Yeah one point i would like to make about our bye week being lost is the fact that the Texans are located in Houston and the Cowboys played on Monday night that week. Y not move the game to Dallas?

We could use the field and not screw with our bye week. But I have noticed that the Ravens always seem to play bad coming off their bye week. So it may not all be bad.

It would also have been better to play the texans in week 2 when they werent so hot, now we get them playing well, but they did lose yesterday and shaub may be injured.

I just read Schaub may be out for a month. As Billick would say it is what it is. I'm betting a bye would not help C-Mac's knee and I think Rolle will be back next week.

Maybe the coaches strategy to rest up players will serve us just as well. Although I havn't seen Ray Ray get much of a break, oh well he's a ******* machine.

I think we will be fine w/o the BYE, I can remember at least once, or maybe even twice, the NFL screwing us over by giving us a BYE in Week 3!! Not much difference from week 2! Besides, I have faith in Harbs keeping everybody as fresh as possible!

Blasphemy!! haha

Rest for our guys would have been nice. They deserve it more than any other team along with the Texans i guess (they got screwed too). Willis, C-Mac, Rolle, Wilcox, Gaither, Terry, Landry, Ayanbadejo, Figurs, Walker were all on the last injury report who could have used a vacation along with the rest of the team after a huge win. Maybe this will just make us more battle hardened and blood thirsty for victory.
