Anyone sit in the Club Section?

12 posts in this topic

We are looking to upgrade out of the 5th level to Club Level.
We were once in the Club Level, and it was fantastic! However, this was for Monster Jam.
What are the Ravens games like in Club? I have heard the fans are not as crazed in the first level.

However, I know the Browns and Steelers fans can be horribly obnoxious in our section...so that type of crazed would nto be missed. Plus our wives are constantly being whistled at, hollered to, etc which for them is getting to be a bit annoying.

We mostly like the extra amenities of Club and feel after 14 years we are ready for an upgrade.

But is the game going to be ruined by 'lame' fans?

Thanks for any input.

I'm going club for the first time this year for our annual pilgrimage to M&T. Scored face value tickets so figured what the hell.

I'm looking forward to some feedback as well!

Here is my take from MJ- the seats are wider and there is more legroom. The cupholders are also higher which keeps one beer from being kicked like in the 5th level.
The bathrooms are fantastic! Everything is double spaced and the sinks are like being in a Hyatt. I also enjoyed all the flat screens and sofas while waiting for the girls to get out of the bathroom. I really did not feel like I was missing anything if I had to run inside quickly.
I also liked the walk up bar which serves all drinks. No running to a Bud vendor, Miller vendor, Sam Adams vendor...it's all together.

And lastly walking one turn of the staircases is better than the numerous turns to the upper level.

I read some reviews online and they state our stadium is set up best to be viewed from the Club level.

We have been to many different section every level of the stadium attending every game since the stadium opened in 1998: the sideline club seats are the best seats for the money (next to first row of the upper deck, which are much cheaper with better vantage point, no no indoor club amenities). Restrooms, higher quality food (e.g. broiled crabcakes), fewer drunks.

"Lame fans" in the club section is basically an urban legend. The noise and intensity at the club level can be deafening - not really different than at other levels. Note that there are a few who spend their time at the club lounges during the games, and not just to get out of the cold. They may be "lame", but, at $300+ per seat, they have the right to spend the game at a bar stool. The biggest difference in fans is fewer drunks, or verbal antagonists in the clubs. Better security comes with those expensive tickets.

If you can afford club seats, it's the way to go. You would particularly appreciate them in December.

Thanks for the great review!
This sounds very reassuring. Our current section, although fun, does sometimes get annoying especially when the 'wrong' fans are seated behind us. Often times I have to keep my eyes open for some sort of debris that may come flying down although the guys wearing the badge usually take care of that pretty quickly.
My wife joked when I read your response to her in that we may be one of those drunk fans that annoy the Club Level patrons now! lol
Although we keep it pretty well under wraps. Hopefully we are not the only fans the insist on standing on third down thugh. ;)

Sat there for 3 games last season, Uncle got upgraded through work and it is AWESOME!

No bathroom lines, huge seats, excellent views, food galore, beers galore. If it is cold out it blocks a lot of the wind also

A lot of people linger inside because many people are guests and are schmoozing clients etc but me and my uncle only had to do that for about 5 min pre game and hungf around afterwards for more. Met a lot of die hards outside though so overall an excellent way to watch

Well, it appears I am a new owner of 4- Club Level seats! :dancingbanana:

A question I have for you guys is how would you handle the ticket transaction?
The PSL is handled via M&T. But the previous owner has tickets in hand.
How would you guys handle such an expensive transaction?

You didn't state where you and the current owner live. If close enough: do the transaction in person. You bring him/her a cashier's check, he/she brings tickets. If this is too inconvenient, here's what someone in our group did: wrote up a 3 paragraph sales contract providing for a 1/3rd deposit, then final payment after PSLs were received. Everyone was happy, but there was an audit trail in case someone was conning. You could alternatively hire an attorney to hold money/tickets in escrow.

Transactions can happen much faster today. The owner can e-mail you the tickets via the Ravens web-site for $3/ticket:

Thanks Mod 4!
Yes, after some more research I now see that.
He forwards game by game to my email address in which I send a Paypal payment each time.
So the risk is taken one game at a time on his part.
He first needs to forward me the Bengals game, I make a Paypal payment and we continue from there.

Boy, I am extremely excited for the start of the regular season now!!! :th_happypills:
