Cary Williams had similar numbers against Tennessee. Williams just gets burned.
Washington wasn't to great, but I'd rather have someone give up a few slants (I now remember more slants than deep route trouble) than 4 or 5 deep bombs a year, plus other slants.
At least Fabian knew that you had to turn around to have a shot at breaking up the play.
ill say it again, 4 TDs. From a 7th round draft pick whos first three years went like this, PS then IR year one, Cut, PS, Waived, PS, signed by us of the PS year 2. ST bar maybe a handful of plays Year 3. Forced to start and played more snaps than webb, only giving up four TDs in Year 4.

I'm curious. What team is Fabian on? What was his passing defense ranked last year? Did he even start?

Edit: Actually, don't tell me. He was out with an injury last year after being signed to a one year deal with the Saints. He's currently a free agent. What does this tell you? We released Fabian, kept Cary, and now Fabian is a free agent at the start of camp. Most of the time, if you're a free agent at the start of camp, nobody wants you.

Don't care. I'm sick of Cary Williams costing us touchdown after touchdown and everybody either makes up excuses or acts like it didn't happen.
Fine, don't like Fabian Washington, how about this guy?

So you ignore my point, make a stupid statement that is completely wrong, and then counter my argument with an even worse argument than your first one.

Wow. I'm done.

Why would i be talking about cory when you said " I'm sick of Cary Williams costing us touchdown after touchdown"
Sorry a couple new names were thrown in and it just threw me off,
Again, at least Corey knew you had to turn around to have a chance at breaking up the play!
so when you say CARY costs us TD after TD, and i complety rubbish that by saying he let up 4 TDs, which by the way was on 3 times as many targets, and coverage snaps than Jimmy Smith who let up three TDs (not that much of difference in experience between the two really), you counter that by......

Ignoring it? and then saying Corey could turn around to break up a play...

My oh my and i thought i was in for a decent arguement here

Against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2006: interception, sack, forced fumble recovered by AD for a score.
I'm sorry I don't get the Ivy hate.
Back to Cary, can we please make Graham the #3?

While I am certainly not a troll, I must admit that I consider moments like these simply priceless.

I find it hard to believe that you're not. A while ago, you said Reed and Ray should come off the field more. Now you're saying that Fabian Washington and Corey Ivy are better than Cary Williams.

That's what's really priceless.

Are you forgetting Tennessee? And the play he got burned on against Saint Louis? I feel like I am forgetting something.

I was, but I just had to come back to reply to that wonderful post.

So, Cary allowed 4 TD's in 500 snaps, and he needs to be the 4th CB? I'm assuming that would make Jimmy the #2 or #3 CB, while in fact he allowed 3 TD's in less than 200 snaps.

You're not thinking logically bud.

Cary was also shown up pretty good in that game.
Oh and as you mention Fox, I said we should release him and it turned out to be the right call.

A rookie and at least two were in one game against one of the best QBs in the NFL and some awesome WRs.
It was Carys first season on a roster from start to finish. I posted you his career path on the previous page, he also faced said "best QBs in the NFL and some awesome WRs." Why does one get a pass and the other doesnt?
Cary played every game. you pick out one game, maybe two he didnt play well in, where by the way the whole secondary didnt play in, and you base your whole arguement on that. What about the other 14 games plus playoffs he was in?
