I'll probably DL and review it.

This demo will make or break whether I get it around launch day or wait a few months, if I even get it at all.

I'm not buying NCAA 13 but my buddy caved and my suspicions were right about that game: the new changes were so minimal, it wasn't even worth $20-30. I fear that, while Madden 13 might be a good game in its own right, it might turn me off as much as NCAA 13 did.

That reminds me, I'll be DL'ing and playing the demo on both PS3 and Xbox so I can compare and contrast. Both experiences should ideally be the same but there might be big enough differences to take note.

I was hoping for it to be where we could have a taste of the new Connected Careers where we play like a week or two weeks in the mode so that we get an idea of the mode and what it will be like. I'll download it and it is going to have to take a lot for it to change my mind and get me to buy Madden 13. Otherwise I'll stick with Madden 12.

Madden 13 is not a little change from the last one. Apparently they've implemented an entirely new engine which utilizes actual physics. This has resulted in an unpolished experience, however, according to OXM this could be the basis for next gen football gaming. They only gave it a 7.5/10 though.

But yes I'll be getting the demo. I might wait to grab it during Black Friday when it'll be like 20 bucks though. It is a Madden buying year for me.

My review : 360 version has some minor bugs but the commentary is way way more tolerable then last years, the presentation is unbelievable and game play well hands down 40 times less frustrating the madden 12 not as repetitive you cant keep doing the same play without the D or O picking up and adjusting . my rating 4.8 out of 5 Sizzle Sacks

After playin the ps3 demo it glitched out and restarted the game. Game play is smoother and all pro difficulty has better balance, i play all madden level but wanted to test out the all pro against the cpu. Also i noticed the lbs return to positions away from the scrimage line when i attempt to set up blitzs. The lbs move themselves when i switch to next players. The new xfinity engine is great m.lynch is a beast. One other thing is the football field colour is bright very bright like acrade in the early 90s colour bright. In conclusion gameplay is nice commentary has improved and a few fixs needed. 3.8/5

Worth the wait JO imo.

Gameplay is soo much better. Far far more realistic, the tackling and running looks real. Some if the WRs catches look so realistic, and the CBs defensive plays.

I havent got onto the passing side of things yet, im always slow on it, but from what i seen its better and more realistic.

Commentary is a huge improvement, the actually keep up with the play instead of still do the introductions half way throigh the first half

I'll post what I wrote on Operation Sports... this game looks nice, I love the new presentation and the everything else, but to me Connected Careers is what will have me buy or not buy the game. To me, they took too much user control away from the User and I really just don't like Connected Careers. I'm going to wait for the reviews of CC to see if I change my mind and buy it or don't buy it.

I was on the " I'm not buying another Madden game " bandwagon, but currently in the process of downloading the demo. We shall see if I'm still on the aforementioned bandwagon after playing it through.

Wow really good. It takes a couple games to get used tto, redskins are nice in it.

Commentary is ALOT better. Not quite on nba2ks level yet but still good.

Thing is, they did a lot of new things this year. Now while I'm iffy on getting the game, part of me also believes that sticking with Madden 12 may be the best thing due to the fact the new commentary system, and the physics engine and everything else, may have some issues and need patches to fix them and that by Madden 14, they may have it all worked out and even have things brought back in(Fantasy Draft, Import Draft Class, etc)

Although it can create some goofy animations at times, I'm loving this infinity engine. Some of these hits look great with it.

They're finally headed back in the right direction again.

To me, they took too much user control away from the User
That's what put me on the fence about the game, too. The fact that you can't do something as simple as edit jersey numbers is a huge deal-breaker for me. EA Sports tried to say that they took out player-editing because it would mess with the AI logic in Connected Careers -- but what does editing NUMBERS or EQUIPMENT have to do with the AI at all?????

I take Franchise Mode seriously, and quite frankly, I can't stand the thought of some draft bust wearing #52 after Ray Lewis retires. Even worse, I can't stand the thought of an offensive lineman wearing #52 if they run out of numbers on the OL.

6th game in....

pros:
Commentary
-Jukes/truck stick (takes some time getting used to)
-coverage on defense
-new physic system
-can actually return punts for a chance to score.
-set up nicer. (so far)
-I like how it shows player stats after they do something.

cons:
-changed the kicking button again, I liked last years. Also no more surprise onside kick, bs.
-redzone fades have pretty much been unstoppable so far. Really hope they fix it.
-maybe it's just Lynch and his beastliness, but it's really hard to tackle RBs head on, unless you just hit the dive button but I always hit stick, it's just programmed into me lol.
-open field tackles are twice as hard as last years, maybe 3x.
-soo far it seems recievers drop alot of balls. Its almost like you have to manually catch it and contain yourself from running before you catch it. I always try to user but this will take time to get used to.
-nearly impossible to block PATs.
-getting pressure to th QB is very hard.
-when trying to move someone on defense they go back to where they started. (bugs the hell out of me).
-when trying to do a QB spy defensive audiable pre play, it lags you instead of let your player roam free. (also bugs the hell out of me) I hope they fix the top 2 above the most

RG3 is really good, really their whol team is.
I don't remember ever using the r1 button for Xbox to throw to recievers, I have a habbit of throwing it to L1. Maybe it's just me.
Chris Johnson will be very nice in this years game.

I agree. That always made me mad in the previous Maddens.

Exactly. I don't want anyone else wearing 52, or even 75 or 3. Those numbers are off limits to me, absolutely nobody can have those numbers except Ray, JO and Stover. I just wish there was a way in Madden to retire numbers so that you can truly ensure nobody can wear those numbers.

Removal of editing is the deal breaker for me. They've also removed importing from NCAA, fantasy draft, the ability to play with two or more teams in season mode etc etc

I'm probably just going to stick with Madden 12.

Oh, one more thing.

Randy Moss is so overpowered in this demo. I don't know about you guys, but he was jumping 50 inches in the air and doing 1 handed grabs and such in mine. It's like they put a prime Moss back in the game.

You're not the only one. Although I'm Ps3, it's basically the same problem. I keep trying to dump it down and pump faking on accident, it's going to take some getting used to.
so except the two bugs, which will be fixed, the reason they release demos. Your sayin its more realistic

I understand they will be fixed. I'm just giving my review of what I've played so far of this demo. Yes it's more realistic, in some aspects anyway. I know 8 times out of 10 Lynch breaks the first attempted tackle, ridiculously. I like all the animations though.

It makes me really mad how I can't position my players on defense without them moving back to their original spot. I'm not sure about how much they'll fix, hopefully thats one.
was that not the same case as last year? Do you mean if you bring reed up to LOS, then change to Ray, reed walks back to his safety position?
