Do any of you guys like to play older (80s or 90s) games? What are some of your favorite systems/titles?

I was actually shopping around last week for an old TRS-80. I was trying to get my 'Fraction Fever' on.

I still break out the old Nintendo from time to time. Whip out some 'Paperboy', 'Maniac Mansion', 'Battle Toads', 'Nintendo Golf', 'Contra' and 'Commando'

Still have the Original Nintendo, the reboot original Nintendo, Sega Gensis, PS1, PS2, PS3, Game Gear.

I still pull out my Ps1 games sometimes. I always liked FFVII and The Legend of Dragoon. This conversation makes me remember Ape Escape.

I owned the Black Back FFVII when I was 14. Had I known the value of that game today, I would have left it in the packaging!

I like the old games man, so unforgiving for failure. You had 3 lives the whole game and if you lost them all, guess what, Game Over! Start back from the very beginning!

Gamers of today are so spoiled with continue after continue

I forgot about Mike Tyson's Punch Out. That's a fun one to reboot.

My favorite boxers to fight were Bad Bull and Mr. Sandman. But you can't forget about King Hippo.

I still have to go back to the NES and SNES to whip out the old school Zelda games every so often. I still have my old NES 23 years after I got it and it still works, though I'm going to replace the connector inside to see if that helps with getting games to start up.

Between myself and my partner, we own just about every single console system and games for it, and when we moved into our rental house we made our office a dedicated retro gaming room as well.

I was about to say yes but I got DeathArena confused with Mutant League Football.

There's a game out called Demon's souls that is retro-style difficult. You might want to check it out or a related game called Dark Souls.

If you guys love retro gaming, what you should try watching is Game Informer's Replay series, where a group of their editors go back and replay games from former generations. They've done quite a few, and they're hilarious.
