I just heard that Decastro injured his ACL and MCL. Damn shame for their O-line and obviously him. Hate young guys going down.

They're saying Decastro injured both his ACL and MCL right now and that he'll be out for some time (with what we can only assume will be a tear of both of them).

As much as I don't want the Steelers to succeed, it sucks seeing a young guy go down with such a bad injury. I remember really wanting him in the draft and hoping he'd fall to us, I wish him the best.

Same but now steelers fans have an even worse prob than us. They have another hole in the oline, no Mike Wallace (thats worse for fantasy owners tho), their top rookie in an otherwise (outside of Rainey and their fifth round pick) bad rookie class is out for the year, Haley and Rottenberger are clashing (no surprise there),now two rbs are injured, and lastly, the secondary hasn't improved in an aging defense. They can't talk the crap that we lost the defensive player of the year anymore. If Espn says were in trouble, then the steelers might need a new word. But (sadly) the Rooneys and the front office are damn good in situations lie this, and that offense is hard to defend against. They aren't out of it....... (now comes the part where I become the fanboy) until we kill them twice again.

But joking and the biased comments aside. The steelers are still a hard team to beat. They have the AFC Norths best
Coach
QB
SS ( even tho he is overrated and often called the best ever at his position)
D (statistically, their play doesn't show it. Again Espn and NFL being biased even tho we dominate)
However. Yes tomlin is a great coach and nothing can take that away. But Ben is not only a jerk, but a decent QB on a team with a great D and good recievers (My fathers and grandfathers words, not mine). That's bc they have one of the best FO (if not the best) in the league. And they reload better than any other team in the league. Yes the reasons I mentioned up there are likely to slow them down, but while they are not a sb contender (like us even if we trade away Cary) they can make a deep run. Don't underestimate them

If he tore his ACL and MCL, then he is most likely done this season. He'll most likely miss out on his rookie season.

They don't know if it's torn yet or not, most likely is though.

I agree, and me too. Even though it's bad for the Steelers which means it's good for us, I hate to see players get injured, especially young promising ones like Decastro.

Plus I have Big Ben in fantasy, this is bad for me! haha

Number one reason I CANNOT play fantasy football...yuck, to need other players to do well!!!

To those steeler fans that laughed at sugg's injury this is a very sad and unfortunate form of payback.

Karma i guess. Very bad karma.

I was looking around on Steeler forums, Bleacher report, and most Steeler fans are blaming the field turf and Marcus Gilbert for Decastro's injury. Last I checked Gilbert was their young shining rookie for their offensive line last season. Supposedly Gilbert also gets his teammates hurt. In the first pre season game he landed on David Johnson's legs and ended his season; this guy must be a bad omen.

Steelers at that. I hate rooting for them when I'm starting them. I will never, ever start any steelers vs the Ravens, ever.

Steelers just cannot stay healthy on the O-line. If it has to do with field turf, it might have to do with their players not being used to it. Rather than fight it off, maybe the Steelers should invest in turf so their guys will be used to playing on it and not injure themselves when it comes as a surprise on the road.

I prefer grass myself, so I could see why the people at Heinz wouldn't want turf, but I don't think the league is suddenly going to shift back to grass. Someone in the grass industry needs to breed some cheap "supergrass" to keep field turf from taking over sports.

I know the Colts decided to move on from Peyton and start over with Luck, but I believe Colts fans, and Jim Irsay are cringing right now seeing how well Peyton Manning did in this game.

I disagree. Indianapolis needed to move on, and to their delight, Andrew Luck has looked very impressive thus far. While they did have an option of having both on the roster, after taking the signing bonuses into account, they would've been forced to shell out a whopping $50 million on a single position just this season alone. That's an unfathomable amount. While Manning finally picked things up, as opposed to the somewhat shaky performances in the two prior games, there are still lingering questions about his health and durability that won't be answered until he's seen through a few regular season contests. I'd understand if Luck was struggling or seeming mentally ill-equipped, but he's making good on the pro-ready label he earned in his Stanford days. In fact, I'd argue that at this point, if I were an Indianapolis fan, I would be relieved with how things have turned out. They could've been much more disastrous.

Man, the QB play in the Jets-Panthers game is not pretty tonight. I was about to say I was shocked Derrick Anderson was the best QB on the field, but he, predictably, threw a pick and showed me he's still Derrick Anderson.

Of course Cundiff would nail his first attempt as a Redskin and then kick it out of the endzone. Think he might be motivated?

Niners look like crap, but I wonder if it is strategy. RG3 and Luck both seem to impress.

Alex Smith looked terrible against the Broncos; I still think he's holding them back.

Cundiff's miss from 55yds got him boo-ed.
I thought the announcer said it was 46 yards. Either way, looks like he corrected that wide left problem. His 4th attempt would have been wide right, too, if he had been any farther out.

How 'bout those refs in the Giants/Pats game? I was laughing out loud at that ridiculous comedy of errors on that punt in the 2nd quarter. Old Coughlin looked like he was going to get Medieval there, for a minute. lol.

HOLY GETTING CREAMED BATMAN!

49ers 35
Chargers 0
3rd Quarter 0:43

Norv Turner and AJ Smith should be fired after this game, even if it is just preseason. I understand Rivers only played a bit, but this shows how bad AJ Smith is at Drafting.

It has to be a bad sign for the Chargers to be losing like this. Oakland being shut out, I expected that as I think they will be a contender in the Matt Barkley Sweepstakes.
