Jamal Lewis

Did anyone else look on clevelandbrowns.com and see the Jamal article? '' Lewis relishes chances against old team''

'' Jamal Lewis' eyes light up whenever the Baltimore Ravens are mentioned''. He says he's healthier now and has his burst back, last game he carried 12 times for 56 yards. Since then he's gotten a heavier work load. How many yards do you think he'll rack up this time? anyone think he can run for 100 yards?

um...Jamal Lewis says that evry freakin game that he's better and you will expect a big game. So i don't believe him. We will simply swallow him up with our defensive linemen alone.

I know if he studder steps like he did when he was here he will get <50 yards. He will probably get 60-85 yards, but he will have 20+ carries in order to get there.... He always talks about wanting to do good against us, but I think we stop him pretty easily

Here's how I know Jamal will not reach 100yrds against our D. For starters, it's the Ravens defense. More specifically, he would have to carry the ball the entire game in order for there to even be a possibility. The Browns will not be able to afford running the ball the entire game once the Ravens score. Remember there was a reason why he only carried the ball 12 times against us in the last match up. To think all of a sudden a couple games later they a completely different team with a completely different more dominant run attack is ridiculous. Jamal is all talk. He better watch what he says b4 Ray Lewis breaks his shoulder and teaches him a lesson.

Jamal was my favorite player after Ray Lewis but ever since he went over to the dark side I can't stand him anymore. Every time he carries the ball I'm hoping Ray Lewis makes it his last.

Hey, I'll say this: if jamal lewis has a big hole, he will pound it and get several yards and will be hard to put down...but he just tiptoes to the line of scrimmage and that's his falter. just find a hole and pound it. no time to look for it, especially with a 'back like him.

Yeah if the streak gets broken it can't be to a guy we cut.

I think Jamal would be lucky to hit 60 yards assuming they try to run alot. Realisticly, The Browns will be forced to go to the air in an attempt to exploit our somewhat~inexperienced secondary (Reed excluded of course).

I agree. Jamal was one of my favorite players and I still have a lot of love for him. With that said I wouldnt mind seeing someone knock his lights out tomorrow.

I respect what he did while he was here...But he is not here anymore. That makes him just another running back... And you know our defense eats running backs up

Good for Jamal - however, our D will swallow him alive.

Jamal, you have another thing coming. Theres no way the Ravens Defense will allow Jamal to get 100 yards. Right now, I say 45 - 60 yards for Jamal. He may get a 1 yard TD run but thats it. I was looking at the schedule and right now, as far as it looks, right now the NFC East teams may be the only teams(that have a chance to break our record) to actually stop us from carrying that record for the rest of the year.

I agree, If I was to worry about any RB breaking the 100 yard mark with us it would be Westbrook or Portis. I know the Eagles set up the run by passing to give Westbrook the edge but I'm gonna stay true to our D and say that we shut them both down. Poor Jamal Lewis don't have a chance, we're already calling his number. (And I say that with respect) :)

No one runs on us!

Go Ravens!

Some people follow players no matter what team their on.
Hard to throw Ex-Ravens under the bus.
Start a "who's your favorite Raven thread" and then **** on them when they leave.

I am afraid of Jamal, that is his health. Ray and his D is knocking RB out in every game. So Jamal, I love you, but try to stay alive.

well at least jamal lewis is physical and tough and has unlimited stamina. at least he he is not going to get injured after 3 plays and can take a hit. at least he he wouldn't run out of gas during a big run and fumble at the 1 yard line. at least he stays in shape. at least he is not injury prone. at least he doesn't talk as much trash. at least he can catch the ball better. at least he put up better numbers last year and got snubbed from the pro bowl. he may not put up the numbers but at least you can count on him to show up for your team and even take the ball 30 times. which is more than i can say for willis mcgahee. so i wouldn't talk as much as you guys, at least jamal is something, and has done something with his career. our guy hasn't been healthy enough to barely start his.

Harsh...

But I like it :D

He wont be able to rush for over 100 on us, mainly because he knows what he's up against and what our defense is capable of. If I was him I think I would just lay down every time I had the ball lol.
Im thinking all our defense should carry pictures of Mendenhall in their pads, that say "your next" on them. Then drop one on them every time they tackle him..

Cant wait to see what the media would have to say about that one XP

Justify the game-
Isnt that Mcgahee in your avatar....? >.>

LOL I think Jamal says the same thing before every Ravens/Browns game. No way our D will allow a former player to break 100 yards, today. GO RAVENS
Jamal Lewis 19 carries - 49 yards. Hardly the 100 yard perfomance he predicted.
Wasnt he 49 yards last game too?

One interesting note I saw- Browns are 20-1 when J-Lew gets 20+ carries. they are much worse when he doesn't. Today- 19 carries. Granted, in today I don't think another carry would have mattered, but still interesting. For all of their playmakers, it seems Cleveland does better when playing more conservative.

Eh, the man was just trying to get psyched up to win - and who better to psyche yourself up against than your old team. I can't fault him that. I'm just glad we shut him down. I wish him well - when it doesn't affect our standings or chances...

To defend #23, he is sharing snaps with 2 other backs, and this isn't the Brian Billick offensive playbook anymore. Yes McGahee has had some injury issues, but that's been his story all of his career. McGahee did make the Pro Bowl in '07, Jamal didn't (granted it was only because JO was hurt, but he still had the skills and numbers to be chosen.)
