There were a couple of plays where the offensive line was broken really quickly, one play Allen barely got the handoff and was tackled in the backfield... Taylor had to scramble a few times that didn't seem designed but I couldn't see if it was more on coverage downfield or line breakdown quickly or Taylor's impatience?

Cary Wiliams was beaten a few times... I disregard any plays versus Julio Jones because he looked like Calvin or Andre Johnson out there big tall strong fast just a beast, although Webb had some tight coverage on him Jones still made huge catches..

Asa Jackson had a few plays that I noticed him...

Deonte Thompson looked very impressive glad to see him perform similar to the practice transcripts I've been reading...

I need to catch the Replay to see whole game, I only saw up to before half time, I want to see how Kruger, Kindle, C.Thompson, C.Brown, D.Berry, J.Reid, Osemele played...

Did WR Doss play ?

It appeared that way last night, yes. But you have zero depth. Thats a fact.

I thought the dline and oline both got off to rough starts but got much better as the game went on. I like what I saw. Some rookie mistakes and miscommunications, but not a terrible night.

What ever floats your boat. Me? Ravens at end of season > Atlanta Falcons at end of season

Falcons have zero depth and any injury they face creates glaring weaknesses. Ravens 1st team always start slow. Falcons fans better be gearing up for an early exit in the playoffs AGAIN, because they won't last.

Plus our 1st team was empty on key starters. No Lewis, No Jimmy Smith, Cary Wiliams coming back from hip surgery, No Birk, No McKinnie on first team, No Pitta, Reed limited.

I remember last year when I had to take lip service from Redskins fans when the Redskins 1st team crushed our 1st team in PS.

"Our 1st teamers beat your 1st teamers, bwhahaha."

How'd that work out?

I was kind of disappointed to the first quarter but our backup were just lightening up.....I was very please with amount of depth we have...

As other mentioned, we always start slow and when the season comes, you know the real smackdown will come along too....

Guys its just the 1st preseason game dont forget we have 3 more to figure out what we really have. I hope these bubble players keep stepping up hopefully it will light a fire under some of these other players that think they are safe. I was disappointed with Allen but will continue to support him thru his struggles because I believe he has the talent to do great things just needs to be more patient and hit the gaps instead of trying to make them.

First of all great job winning as a team. I was at the game lastnight sitting behind the Ravens bench. The main thing that blew me was Julio Jones catching a ball right infront of our sideline with Carey Williams not even knowing the ball was coming. Knowone said BALL or PASS or anything. If someone would've shouted to him he could've made a better play. Other than that Ravens fans there weren't impressed at all with the starters. Knowone even cheered when we scored our first TD against their 2nd team. I knew we would win the points total, but their starters kicked our starters U know what...Next week I would like to see better play calling and more enthusiasm from our players during game time not just warm ups. Our depth is super deep. Great job F.O.....On another note what's up with me being the only one saying O during the national anthem..

On another note the steelers new revamped offensive line supposedly looked awful last night and Mike Adams was getting beat like a drum.
[/quote]

Don't tell flynismo about Adams, he had the biggest man crush on him and wanted us to expend our 1st rounder for him

Liked cams play calling early
Short routes see if wrs can make plays after the catch. No need to bomb it since the whole league knows that's what joe does best.

Defensively it sucked seeing their wr make plays but I like the idea of putting the CBs in position to cover without help.

It's how we see what we can use later in the reg season. Not sure what payers were out for atl as opposed to who is their week 1 starters. I'm sure they had players it like we did. Their ol got to text themselves against ngata so win or lose that helps them
Matt and their wrs seemed to change plays up at the line. Kudos for them on being that in sync this early

It's preseason so final score is irrelevant and it's about trying to find new wrinkles in your tem. Think both teams found stuff build on for later.

Its all good we didn't play alot of starters. That is not what we will see when the season starts. I think we all know that. It was nice to see the 2nd and 3rd string guys perform well. That is the most important thing in the 1st exhibition game. Hope Dixon will not be out long.

While I t think our line will improve I see the same problems for the Steelers they had prior to the draft. I said Mike Adams would be trash personally and believe when we play McPhee is going to harass him all game. Ben better get use to this especially with their fullback out and the way they like to pass. They better hope Haley likes max protects.

The 2 positives I took from the game were the lack of penalties by the Ravens and the quality of depth. We are going to have to cut some very good players...
Bobby Rainey was a bright spot as well as Thompson. Looking forward to seeing both of them in the coming games. A good start.

I want to say I also found it intriguing that they wanted painter to air it out. In essence they were true,y evaluating his accuracy and deep passes to see how he fits in our normal offense.

Thinking they will find it difficult to cut him

As far as the CBs go I felt they played way to much off man/Zone coverage and when they played man coverage they got no help from the safetys.

I was impressed by our WR corps. Torrey, Jacoby, Deonte all looked really good ( and really fast).

Cary had some issues, but this is his first action in some time so i will give him a pass.

Oline was solid and i like the aggressive approach on offense.

Kindle impressed me. I would have liked to see him against 1st string players but he was very active.

Anthony Allen needs to be better or he is gonna get cut. Berry looked better and Bobby Rainey looked like a Ray Rice clone.

Solid showing overall

Aside from when Webb blitz and atl screened it I did t see wrs running wide open.
Think the corners were in good spots to compete for the ball and I think that was by design.
