the best kicker should be kept on the team, so if its the rookie so be it....the only thing with going young is you dont know how he will be in a real game until the season starts, how does he handle the high pressure situations?

Billy had a bad year for sure and if u look at his career he's never put together a stretch of consistency...honestly I wanted Shayne Graham to stick last year

I'd like to know what happened in the past year that made him become this inconsistent. Harbs said Billy's misses the other day were due to bad snaps, but you should still make those.

Maybe he's showing his true colors and his one good season with us was the outlier.

looks at Billys stats..he bounced around a little bit and was never consistent...he had that real good year with us and then we signed him to a new deal and then last year happened...can he string together some good years? idk, he has yet to do it

I agree. If he was kicking last year, we would have been in the Superbowl. Cundiff is a bum, has been his whole careear, and even 2010 he missed kicks he should have made.

Billy Cundiff missed three times on Wednesday, all from beyond 50 yards.
He was wide right from 52 and 56 yards and short on a 58-yarder, which safety Ed Reed brought out of the end zone.
Rookie kicker Justin Tucker went 6-for-6, including hitting from 52 and 56 yards.

I hate to throw a Raven under the bus, but I wonder if he has mental issues still from that championship game?

Tucker is making 50+ yarders consistently, has only missed 5 kicks all camp compared to Cundiff missing 18, and he can also punt which provides some insurance for if Koch happens to get injured.

Barring some sort of meltdown by Tucker in one of the preseason games or in the next couple weeks of practice, at this point in time it would make absolutely no sense to keep Cundiff over Tucker.

I've said I'll support him while he's on the team but I'm hoping we go with Tucker. Younger and more inexpensive. He also seems very confident, something kickers need. I also don't think he team trusts him.
