OK ... everyone needs to chill. Atlanta is treating this like it's their freaking Superbowl. I'm not saying I'm pleased with our showing, but if we come healthy out of this, I consider it a win. These games don't matter.

I thought it was going to be bad in here. But this is beyond my expectations for a preseason game. We sucked early in a few of our preseason games last year yet still made it to the AFCCG.

Cept

Ray Lewis looks awful as well. I can't believe Ed Reed let that play by as well. Where is the pressure Terrell Suggs?

I get that it's preseason but I don't see how that's a valid excuse since it's preseason for the Falcons too and they're doing 173 yards and a touchdown better than we are so far

One team has to win and one team has to lose. So, theoretically, if one team is playing poorly, then that means the other team is playing better by default.

I'll give credit to the Falcons. They look good. But that doesn't mean that the Ravens are garbage, either. The Ravens aren't at full-strength, aren't trying, blah blah blah, etc. But whatever the reason, because it's not the regular season and this outcome doesn't matter, we shouldn't really take stock in anything that happens over these next few weeks.

Our starting unit looked pretty crappy against the Falcons 1st quarter, with the exception of the interception by Ayanbadejo. Nothing about that quarter showed me that Flacco looked "sharp".

That was bad even for preseason, be real. Everyone looked terrible.

Yes, true and true, but so what? 12-4 past two years and 4 straight years in the playoffs and you're ready to jump off the bridge?

A part of me wants the 1st to keep going. Because they stunk up the joint and need more work. But another part doesn't because I don't want them to get injured.

O-line is alarmingly bad. This weak ATL's Pass Rusher are having their way with our offense.

Our secondary/linebackers looks way too vanilla. Dean Pee better get this defense in top shape.

The Patriots' offense looked like garbage two years ago, I believe. That offense went on to be a top-10 offense during the regular season, if memory serves correct.

I know, as a moderator, your duty is to be the "positively positive" crew chief...lets us people rant and rave. We have a right to, don't we? Have I broke any of your rules? I did qualify with "I know this is the preason...". Its disheartening to watch a team you love perform so badly after waiting for so long to see them take the field again. I knew there was going to be some bad aspects, obviously. I just want to see the offense hype come to fruition. Cool with you?
