After recent flurry of roster moves, the Ravens are currently $3,123,858 under the Salary Cap limit. But that's only for the top 51 Cap #s.

Brian McFarland ‏@RavensSalaryCap
Once season starts all players (53,IR,PUP,PS) will count. Depending on who makes team, Ravns will likely only have around $1M in space then.

Brian McFarland ‏@RavensSalaryCap
At this pt, Suggs and DReed likely on PUP, McAdoo already on IR heading into season, so 56 players+PS will have to fit under Cap as of now.

Brian McFarland ‏@RavensSalaryCap
8 Practice Squad players will count $775,200 against Cap based on $5700 per week x 17 weeks x 8 PS players.

thanks for the update. Whats the net saving after dead space if we were too cut Mckinnie, and then to cut Cundiff which is more likely.

McKinnie has a $4.2M Cap number. Releasing him would save them $3.2M, with $1M in dead money still counting aganist the Cap. There would be no dead money carried over into 2013, since 2012 is the last year of his contract.

Cundiff's Cap number is $2.8M. Releasing him would save them $2.2M, with $600K in dead money still counting in 2012. There would be dead money of $1.8M carried over into 2013, which represents the acceleration of the bonus prorations for the final 3 years of his contract.

Ko doing great at RT but I am not sure if Oher can ever be a LT. I am not a McKinnie fan, he seems lazy and unmotivated.

I wouldnt be upset if we cut Bryant and billy and went after a guard or pass rusher though

If we have the cap room we should sign a FA outside linebacker like an Ernie Sims for some depth. A guy like Sims could get the backup job and rotate around with Upshaw, Kruger, and Kindle.

You must not know what "=/=" means. There is a slash through the equal sign, meaning that Ernie Sims is NOT a 3-4 outside linebacker.
