I'm really enjoying The Night Of so far.  I've seen some complaints that it's boring, but I see the slow, methodical pace and I love shows like that.  Nas finally got his chance to tell his story from beginning to end, which is pretty crazy considering it took 4 episodes for anyone to even listen to him.

Mr Robot - First couple of episodes I was hyped up, but after watching the latest episode, im just not feeling it.  The dialogue is great and as mentioned above, so is the camera work, but I just feel like I have no clue what is going on with all the time change scenes, maybe I just haven't paid attention enough.

The Night Of - Ok im all caught up, anyone want to take a guess on whats going on here?  Its a good show, obviously not on TD level...which I don't think anything is.

Casey Bloys, HBO president of programming had this to say about True Detective Season 3:

“It is not dead, but there’s no take on a third season yet,” Bloys said, according to Vulture. The new HBO shot caller did, however, say that he is open to someone else assuming the writing duties for a third season while creator/showrunner/occasional malcontent Nic Pizzolatto fulfills the other requirements of his lucrative overall development deal with HBO. Pizzolatto would then oversee True Detective from afar."

The camera work in Mr. Robot is impeccable.

Without a doubt the most visually stunning show I've ever seen. Every shot is a work of art, the whole make up of the show is perfect. The whole plot is screaming at you from episode one, yet the direction is so impeccably pulled off that you're mind can't accept what's truly going on which makes it a uniquely amazing TV show.

Just started red season two, was going to wait til it's done but I couldn't hold out any longer haha.

That shot with Dom in the shootout was so incredible.  I think True Detective is the only show to ever make me feel like I was in the situation, but this would be a close second for me, even though it was relatively brief.

Speaking of Dom... Grace Gummer is an incredible addition to this show.  She's so bizarre, but at the same time, I believe everything about here character because Gummer plays her so well.  Definite shades of her mom in her.

Everything is inter weaved so perfectly. The shots are immense, love the cast, love the direction, just love what this show can give us.

That continuous shot, I think episode 6 was one of the best scenes ever in TV.

Episode 4.  My favorite scene in any TV show ever, bar none.  That intensity was captured perfectly, and was done in 1 take.

I think I said this last time I talked about that scene, it reminds me of a scene out of Death Sentence (movie with Kevin Bacon).  One continuous shot done while some thugs chase him down.  I would link it but the language would obviously against the rules.

This is getting really interesting, he is playing into the persona hes being accused of.  He is starting to see how things work in prison.  Whats your opinion on whats going to happen, the more that gets revealed about him, the more questions.  I still dont think he did it.  I cant say what i want because i dont know how to do the spoiler tab.

I don't really know what to think here.  I think the played it incredibly smart by introducing the reason for the school change this late.  All along I've believed he didn't do it, but there's now a little shred in the back of my mind that he actually did.

And the spoiler tag is [ s p o i l e r ]  [ / s p o i l e r ].  Just take out the spaces.

I think it was obvious that something was weird with the black guy that drives the hearse, but it was so long ago they let you completely forget about him.  Then when the female lawyer went and talked to him, holy hell the guy is clearly out of his mind and seems like a sociopath but it seems TOO obvious that it would be him.  Now the story line with the stepfather and the money, clearly makes a motive: so many ways this can go now.  My theory on why Naz is becoming who he is in prison is for 2 reasons: 1) He did it and knows he cant escape it any longer 2) he doesnt think he can beat the case and prove his innocence, with good reason because just looking at the evidence, hes screwed.  But i still have no clue whats going to happen.  One thing for sure, we need more shows like this.

Yeah I think they made the hearse guy too obvious, and maybe even the step father.  One person I haven't forgot about it the guy on the motorcycle before Naz made the illegal left turn.  I'm not sure if he'll end up playing back in, but I certainly haven't forgotten about him.

I'm curious about this damn cat too, as well as the deer head.  Those are 2 things getting a lot of screen time.

The latter is more what I've been thinking on Naz.  I like that they're showing his violent tendencies, even though I'm still not of the belief that he actually did it.  It does make you question it even if it's only slightly, though.

It's a slow and methodical show where things you think won't be important and actually important.  Hell, even the eczema storyline is interesting since it's been meant as an analogy all along.

I definitely havent forgot about the motorcycle guy, that was just extremely odd the way he stared at him, ive even tried to see if i could notice it in the background of scenes, its a Yamaha R6 or R1.  Is it possible the stepfather paid someone to do this? possibly.  I think im going to binge watch all the episodes before i watch the finale, just so i can really form a educated decision/theory.  Whats the analogy you take away from the eczema storyline?

Maybe symbolic is the better word, actually.  I think it symbolizes and reinforces the fact that he's the low man on the totem pole in the legal system.  It paints him as an outcast, and emphasizes how outcasts are treated in the criminal justice system.  He's often looked at as a joke.

Ahh. Just watched the first episode of the night of. I won't be able to read these spoilers for a while. Lol. This looks good.

He's been there since the beginning of the season, and all of those events did take place.  They were just manifested into a neighborhood scene instead of a jail scene.  Ray was probably some sort of prison guard, counselor, or someone in a position of authority in the prison.

Now the question is why he's in jail.  Mr. Robot told Elliott earlier in the episode that Elliott did in fact shoot Tyrell, but he's too big of a character to have an off screen death.
