There's quite a bit out on TV right now.

I watched the premiere of HBO's miniseries The Night Of last night, and I'm very intrigued by this one.  It's slow and methodical, but I've started to prefer dark dramas to anything else.  For those that haven't seen a preview, it's essentially a murder mystery that points directly to a suspect, yet you don't know if he really did it or not.  There's only been 1 episode so far, but I'm convinced it'll be a good one.

Mr. Robot is obviously top notch.

Ray Donovan has always been a little underrated, but I haven't been feeling this season so far.  It's still very early in the season though.

I watched a couple of episodes of Roadies and quickly dropped that.

I'm still hanging on by a thread with Preacher.  It might be good to some people but I just don't know if it's for me.

Ballers comes back on Sunday and that's a decent time filler, although I'm sure that'll be a full DVR for me.

Vice Principals with Danny McBride and Walton Goggins comes on Sunday as well, and I'm excited to see how that goes.

Yeah I caught this one last week.  Very intrigue by it.  Plus there's a few actors that played on The Wire in the series (Bodie and Omar).

Have you seen Marcella on Netflix?  Another good Murder Mystery.

It's like E.T./Goonies meets Akira. It's so good. The soundtrack is amazing.

Two episodes down of Stranger Things, man that show is interesting.  And you were spot on, that sound track is great, reminds me of Tron a lot honestly.

Also, here are some interesting tv show reboots coming

Xena

Prison Break - If anyone watched this entire show, pm me.  I never finished it and just want to know what happened.

So I finished Between. It was ok. The second season started picking up a little steam, but it's no Leftovers. They just never developed the characters enough or have us care enough about their threat. Best character was the younger kid Harrison.

Started stranger things. 4 episodes in this is great!  Definitely poltergeist/ET/Alien. They have the 80s vibe captured perfectly. The soundtrack and the score are perfectly done also.

So Ballers more or less picked up where it left off. Some pretty forced/rushed storylines but it's a decent enough way to kill an hour a week.

I've gotta say though, I'm not sure I like how our own Terrell Suggs was limping.

Anyone watching the documentory on the Az Cardinals, All or Nothing on Amazon Prime?

It's pretty good if you ask me.  I had no idea Bruce Arians cussed as much as he did.

He drops the F bomb more than Tony Montana!! That aside, he seems like a good coach to play for.

Easily one of my favorite shows.  I really liked the progression of Ragnar, season 4 is good.

That's what I call mine. :D (though he's a Rottie, not an English bulldog)

I started watching Vikings, but it was painfully slow. I'm tempted to give it another shot because of all the good reviews I've heard. How long does it take to pick up?

How far did you watch? In the middle of the first season imo is when it kicks it.  It does have its slow moments,  but it rewards you in my opinion.   I mean,  how slow was True Detective and the wait paid off.... One of my favorite showers ever.

So I just read that Narcos season 2 will be the last.  But, it also said they could go in a different direction afterwards with how many drug dealers were go against Escobar, which to me implies that they will wrap up season 2 and Escobar together and do a spinoff style, kind of like what Homeland did.

I loved that show on Comedy Central and, after doing a rewatch of the old seasons, I think the new show's doing a lot better overall. I think the only things I prefer about the older show were the commentators (I loved the back and forth between Bil Dwyer and Sean Salisbury, but these news guys are kinda meh) and how they had four divisions. But I think the reboot's been better in every other way so far. Robot Wars over in the UK started a new season last week as well, but I kinda miss Craig Charles' energy.

And in other news, HBO has said Game of Thrones will tap out after its eighth season. Probably for the best, but it'll be a shame when the show's finished for good.

Maybe it's just me, but I just can't seem to get into this season of Ray Donovan.  I feel like it's been 50 minutes of nothing with 10 minutes of something every episode.  Everything has been so outlandish and bizarre.

I like to see a reality show on sports. Like get over 100 qualified fans who would like a chance to tryout for your favorite NFL team. Remember the movie "Invincible" Its about a fan who tried out for the Philadelphia Eagles and played for them. Only 10 lucky fans will win a chance to play for their favorite team attending training camp 10 positions 1 winner for each position 1-QB 1-RB 1-WR 1-TE 1- OL 1-DL 1-LB 1-S 1-P and 1-K. They're 10 episodes  each week 7 guys will be cut and the Judges will 8 former NFL players and coaches they will decide who gets cut.

I'm sure NFL teams are going to want to give up a roster spot for some random guy off the streets...

Why not give the winner a try out? He might be cut anyway though. Look at those shows American Idol and Americas got Talent. Some of those winners going become actors actresses and rock stars. So why not those winners get try out on sports pro teams??
