How I met your mother aka how I could never get over your aunt Robin

That show fell off a cliff the last couple of seasons.

I didn't think season 9 was bad until the finale and seasons 6-9 had some gem episodes in there.

Yeah,  I agree with both these comments. On one hand, I miss the days where the threat of main characters dying was real.  Then again,  they probably wouldn't have any more characters so there's that. Nobody believed Snow died,  and I never once thought that he was in any real danger of dying against Ramsay. But that's part of the natural progression of the show as it dwindles to its end.

What I liked about main characters dying was that it gave the whole story a greater sense of realism, and made for a genuinely gripping plot. In a way I wouldn't mind another big wrench or two being thrown in, just to remind everyone that no-one is safe - Jaqen H'ghar coming back and killing Arya out of nowhere for flaking out on her internship, or something along those lines. But I think those days are as dead as half the named characters in Westeros.

But with all that said, apparently there are only two seasons left so that's plenty of time for a definitive ending to play out. And it should mean the story doesn't get too stretched like others have when they drag out for too long, which obviously becomes more of a danger as the show gets more formulaic. Though like I say, I still very much enjoyed this season and I hope the last two can live up to the standards that have been set.

Seasons 6-8 got pretty diabolical at times, but in many ways I quite liked season 9 (even if I didn't like how certain things were handled). But what's surprised me the most is how much the finale has actually grown on me since it aired. It feels rushed at times, but I quite like the sense of finality and closure it has. I wouldn't put it in the pantheon of greats by any stretch, but I don't hate it like I initially did.

Anyone else watch Marco Polo, ive been binge watching since last night.  Im on episode 8 right now, i really enjoy this show, but its not on the level of Vikings, which is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Ray Donovan- back on

Mr Robot- July 13th

Black Mirrors- Has anyone else ever watched this show, extremely odd, but i enjoy some of the episodes.  There is no connection between each episode so you can watch in any order.

Yeah. I loved how you never knew what to expect. Anyone could die. It was great,  although I understand why many prominent players haven't lately and that's obvious so I won't go there. This was easily one of the best seasons of the show.

Well you quite possibly couldn't be more misinformed on what a show is about.

If one of the goriest shows in television seen as too soft and mushy, I have to wonder if what one does watch is actually broadcasted or if it's hidden in the back of a closet on label-less VCR tapes.

Ummmmm.....WHAT?

Its neither a movie.....nor romantic. Whatever "preview" you saw did a horrible job conveying the premise. Wow.

Friends is too serious for my taste. I like my shows to be more lighthearted and funny.

jk. I had to say it 'cause GoT is too romantic...

Are you also a fan of Supernatural? Your name suggests and affinity with Sam and Dean.

Anyone watch Between on Netflix. I watched the first episode. Pretty interesting so far although it's the same premise as the leftovers so I hope it goes somewhere different. Leftovers was really good two seasons.

I'm so disappointed that The Leftovers is only getting one more season.  I thought they really hit their stride in season 2.

Really?  I didn't hear that was decided. And I know I agree.  Great characters all around.

Yep.  1 more and then hanging it up.  Not enough viewers.  I get it as it can be a tough show to follow, but man, it's disappointing to those who are keeping up with it.  I was worried about them moving the plot to a new location after only 1 season, but it ended up being a brilliant decision.

Right . I was quite skeptical of where season 2 was going. But it was great. The whole death and resurrection episodes I was also quite skeptical of but they managed to somehow pull that off. When does the new season start.

Hey, if it's not a snuff film, it isn't for him.
