Curious how the heck Varys got back with Dany after being in Dorne earlier in the episode.

But yeah a lot answered and a lot of twists. Great episode

Also we have our new villain

That was one thing that really made me scratch my head.  You know journeys around these parts take forever lol.  Hard to make out how Jamie got back so quickly as well, but his is a little more understandable since his story was pretty much completely separate from everything else.

Can someone tell me the who the father of a certain person is? I can't work out the time line, and tell me what that makes them to a certain woman.

We talking Jon Snow? If so R + L = J or in other words Rhaegar + Lyanna = Jon

Yup, the Mad King was the father of Daenerys along with Rhaegar. She is Jon's aunt

So do you think anyone else will find out that Jon is a Targaryen? How does Bran tell people and get them to believe him?

Benjen Stark, you see him way back in the first season. He is Ned's youngest brother and Bran's(along with all the Stark children) uncle

Ohhh. I don't remember him at all. Has he done anything of note?

He was first ranger in the nights watch and went missing after going on an expidition. Also helped recruit Jon Snow to the watch. About it

This is my issue.  Im normally pretty good when it comes to following story lines, but the way this is setup with so many different directions, I find myself getting lost, not realizing certain connections, missing out on little tidbits...

That's definitely the hard part.  The good thing is that a lot of these relatively inconsequential characters (at least as far as screen time goes) are officially gone now.  It's all about the prep for the big battle now, so you'll be seeing a lot more of the important characters and less of these random connections - at least I hope so.

Yea, it should be easier to follow now.  Ill go back and watch those youtube recap videos just to see things broken down.

Also, Silicon Valley is such a great show

I have to say, I think this season of Game of Thrones was arguably the best pound-for-pound in the entire series.

Agreed, I think a large part of it is because, so many things happened that we have been waiting so long for. Danearys is finally on her ships, we found out who Jon's mother is, the starks took back winterfell, we got to see arya in action and that was just the last episode. Everything was building up to this, plus if I'm not mistaken it's the season where we've gotten the most amount of dragons

So is the show ending with Jon Snow andDanaerys ruling as King and queen way too clean for this show?

I still hope it's gendry. He is the true heir to the iron throne. It'd be funny if it wasn't one of the big hitters though.

It almost seems too obvious to happen, but then again, other obvious things happened, so...

I haven't seen him in years. I wonder if he's even alive. Lol, maybe we will see him next season finally.

In the books he's supposed to be with a certain group. This season showed that the group does still exist so I assume we see him next season.

The North will have a referendum on whether they want to Leave or Remain with the rest of Westeros. #Nexit

I don't think it'll be a coincidence if their special effects budget jumps next season now that they've got a fair few actors off the books.

I hate to say it, but the rest of the show feels like it'll largely be a predictable winding down of the stories that are on a crash course, with a few variables (like how much damage the White Walkers do before getting beaten back, what the North does with Danerys' rule, etc). But if nothing else it should be good to see it all play out I guess. This season definitely didn't disappoint though.

That's something I've noticed already.  You knew Ramsay wasn't going to win and that Sansa had a part in it.  You knew Cersei wasn't going to trial.  You knew Dany was never in any real danger.  In recent seasons, the days of the Red Wedding types of surprises are gone.  You pretty much know the ending result and you can even make a reasonable guess as to how it gets to that point.

Yeah,  I agree with both these comments. On one hand, I miss the days where the threat of main characters dying was real.  Then again,  they probably wouldn't have any more characters so there's that. Nobody believed Snow died,  and I never once thought that he was in any real danger of dying against Ramsay. But that's part of the natural progression of the show as it dwindles to its end.
