The best part? With the way Breaking Bad is written, the universe is ripe for prequels and spin-offs. They've revisited dead and one-off characters so many times in those cold openers, it wouldn't be out of the question for them to do a continuation of the story from another perspective, perhaps in a mini-series or a movie.

It'd be awesome to see a series for Jesse after its over. I know he's already a main character now and all, but a full show just for him and his life after he gets out of all the mess would be pretty sweet IMO.

Oh wow. I didn't know that. I didn't really watch much tv growing up, and just recently within the past 2-3 years I've been more into shows (since i got Netflix and all) and watching them weekly. Is it normal for shows to be off the air for a while? I'm guessing that builds up the audience up for the season premiere when it comes back and all?

Not really. AMC's hiatuses seem to last longer than most other networks. Though lately a lot of shows are seeing long splits in the winter season.

Ah i gotcha. Just wondering, because another show i watched last year, Men at Work (on TBS), premiered in may, ended before summer did, and isn't coming back till summer 2013 i believe.

...unless he dies, of course. Remember, anyone is fair game in the series. :)

But then, like I said, the show does a great job of revisiting dead and forgotten characters. I'd like to see a spin-off with Jesse, even if it means looking at what he did when he wasn't with Walt while running concurrent with the show.

Oh god. Yeah that's true, hope it doesn't happen, but like you said anyone is fair game.

Burn Notice, NCIS and Bones. Thats it. Everything else I watch on TV is either a movie, news or football related. An occasional wildlife show if it pertains to fishing, diving, etc. All those reality shows (yes, I've tried watching atleast 1 episode of each) are incredibly stupid. Besides, they're anything but reality......unscripted maybe, and even then the "players" are being pushed in certain directions.

I still love Gold Rush: It gives me a BREAK from reality.

Yea, I've watched an episode of that one. I saw the one lasts eason (/) where he had to go ask his sister for more money. As they're showing him in her living room asking for $40k, I'm thinking "yea, like she didn't know what was coming when her brother and a film crew showed up". Still too "staged" for me.

Anybody see previews for the show "The Following" tonight during The Walking Dead? Supposed to premiere on January 21st (my birthday :D) on fox. Basically it follows an FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of a network of serial killers, when a diabolical serial killer uses special technology to create them. Looks like it could be a very good show!

It seems to be AMC's forte. They've given the same long hiatus's to Mad Men and the Walking Dead.

Breaking Bad is one of the best written shows there is. While many other scripted series leave questions and holes in stories, Breaking Bad ties everything together down to the smallest details. Vince Gilligan knows how to write. I'm looking forward to what he brings after Breaking Bad.

Agreed. It'll be well worth the wait.

Yep. The 'last' season was split into two. Which I don't understand why they just didn't classify them as different seasons. Its not like they are taking a winter break.

I love it when a drama series gets to go out on its own terms. Looking forward to the wrap-up.

crazy. Walt is for sure going gangster on people, "it had to be done". He is one greedy sob.

Could you refresh my memory of the signifance of the book at the end of the last episode?

Television, what is this 'television' you speak of?

Seriously though, I seldom watch television anymore. I believe the last show that I watched on TV was "Go On" and even that got to be boring after awhile. That was nearly 2 months ago.

Killer Karaoke.

That show is completely ridiculous. A friend from work showed me some clips the other day and I couldn't stop laughing. I lost it at the one with the guy singing "Hard to Handle" while getting electrocuted and waiting a table. Funny stuff.

I still miss my Fear Factor.

Just added Survivorman to my instant queue. I missed that show. Maybe I can pay closer attention this time, see how to make a lense out of snow to start a fire. That's right, using ice to make a fire.

I can't believe how long Dexter has been running! It's like a soap opera... How many serial killers are really out there, seriously.
