I must admit, I expect most people to vote keep the dance. Didn't think it would be this one sided. Trust me, I have no problem seeing Ray dancing as must as he wants. Just seeing were the Flock's mind was.

Oh look who's trying to back off!

Yes, I remember seeing an interview about this
Trying to find a link but couldn't find one

When Harbaugh started he wanted it to end and Lewis said he's respect the decision but first check the opinion of the team and I think the fans

The dance stayed
What he said^

Harbaugh also did away with the various radio shows that the players had and whatnot. Wanted to make it all about the team instead of the individuals. As Irish said, Ray was ok with it - he respected Harbaugh's changes - but the other players and fans were too compelling to ignore.

Burn this filthy thread to the ground. How bored are you. I say let ray do the dance on the op's head. Then, and only then, may he question an end to the dance!!!

Ray CANNOT retire his dance. In fact, I will expect him to return even after he has retired, just to do his dance in his street clothes.

Well, I think I have been sufficiently beat up on this one. I will forbid myself from posting for two weeks. :(

Why end the dance? It gets the crowd riled up. Lets face it, football is entertainment. Anything that makes the "show" better is a good thing. And Ray can really put on a show.

First, let me make it clear that I’m a huge Ray Lewis fan. I’m so much a fan; I wore his jersey at the divisional playoff game two years ago in Pittsburg. That all said, I was wondering if anyone other than me was thinking it’s time for Ray to end the intro dance at home games. I have mixed feelings about it. Part of me love seeing Ray fire up the crowd every time he comes out of that tunnel. The other part of me thinks it’s time for him to pass the torch. Start giving the younger guys their turn to shine. The team motto this year is “Team”. Maybe it’s time to end the dance. I would love to hear some opinions from you guys (and girls). Should he end the dance???

I think the part of you that thinks it's time to end the dance has bumped his head BigMike.

So you mean to tell me this isn't a "Ray should hang it up" thread, but a "Ray should stop dancing" thread? Arguably even more stupid if I'm honest.

As much as we value the team-first mentality, let's face it: Ray Lewis is, and will always be, more important than the team -- and this isn't a slight at all.

Rather, Ray Lewis has earned this privilege in all that he's done for the Ravens and the city of Baltimore, both as a professional athlete and as a humanitarian in the community.

Ray Lewis has reached iconic status. Even if Ray Lewis chooses to run out of the tunnel with the rest of the team, he will still have his own spotlight because he has earned it and because we fans give it to him.

Rediculous. No "fan" would ever think of this. Shame on you.

The simple answer is no.

The real answer is this...it's not just a dance. Ray Lewis embodies what the Ravens players, fans and organziation are. He represents us everytime he does his dance. It's a symbol -- a statement that you came here to our house and you are pending an a_z_z whoopin. The passion and the excitement it brings to us, especially those of us who have not been able to go to many games, is incredible. If you don't, as a fan get to see him do his intro, I feel so sorry for you because it's incredible and yes it happens at least 8 times a year (plus some the past 5 seasons) it feels like the first time. For what it's worth, I can't hear that song without picturing #52 lol. If I look the song up in iTunes I expect it to say Ray Lewis cuz he owns it. Bottomline, the dance electrifies everyone, pumps him and the team up. So heck no!

That said....we should all post various youtube vids of him doing it to mortify the threadstarter. LOL
