The good thing is him and Joe already have a good connection so he is one of the players that it won't hurt as much missing training camp and preseason. But he broke the thing that makes him awesome.. his hand(s)!

Pitta is out for possibly the entire pre-season, and Suggs is out indefinitely. Otherwise I think we're doing just fine.

Actually have read a few tweets that we have been running a bunch of spread formation in TC.

If We plan on using it in the reg. season, I highly doubt we'd run it during Preseason

I doubt that we'll bring anyone in since Pitta is due back for the regular season. Besides Drew, we already have a couple other TEs in camp.

But back on topic, obviously this is horrible news. The repertoire Pitta has built seemed like it was the start of something special. ala Todd Heap. The chemistry he's had this past season with our QB seemed promising.

I want to preface this by saying I hope Dennis has a quick recovery and has no lingering affects from this injury. He is a big part of our offense and to hear about this injury definitely hurts.

That said. I want to paint a silver lining here. First off, it sounds like it may not be too bad of an injury and hopefully he will return for the start of the season.

More importantly, this may push the WRs into a larger role in the offense (at least in the preseason) and I think that is a very good thing. I'm not sure how many of you follow Gerry Sandusky, but he has been tweeting that the Ravens have been using a lot of spread
looks in TC and that Joe has looked very good in it. I would love to see a more fast-paced WC type offense and this injury may force Cam's hand into that type of system.

Dennis, get better soon!! We love our American Express Card. Hopefully this gives some of the other players a chance to step up and impress.

It would be nice to see Kris Wilson back, but I'm completely fine with Drew, since he'd likely only be a backup for a couple weeks at most.

We could bring in a vet like Daniel Graham or Jeremy Shockey, or we could just bring back Kris Wilson for another year. All of those options appeal to me more than going with Drew, Balasavage, or Figgins.

Seriously I think we will be fine not sure he may have to bulk up and become more a run first TE depending on the break but I think he will be fine , as well as we will , this does mean cam can work more on single TE 3WR sets maybe using Doss or some one physical as a TE/.WR in the slot. Again Glass half full folks not the end of the season merely a hiccup
