I can't wait until Ray cracks him and picks off a pass in Week 3 for his smart mouthing in the playoff game last year.

Yea I'm thinking that's a circled game.. Hoping for a 2009 playoff type game

This was harder for me than I thought it would be.

I put Patriots for conference rivals. As it said, it has been a great rivalry since 2007 as far as I'm concerned. Pats fans, like it or not, have to deal with us period. I originally was going to put Tennessee since we've gone at it with them since at least 2001 and our AFC Central days. I thought it hasn't been long enough with the Pats but I realized it's actually been 5 years so that is plenty. Plus, it should be a playoff driven thing imo.

I put 49ers because of the sibling rivalry and they carbon copied us. But I really was thinking Giants but I have a close up view because my entire family is from Jersey so they are G.I.ants fans so it magnifies it for me. And I hate the Cowboys like an AFCN rival. But there really isn't enough to justify a true rivalry. It's only been one year w/San Fran so I think it is really the Giants.

ya i was concidering the giants too.... woulda been crazy if our second superbowl was against the same team

I said the Pats & the Skins. It just makes me sick how the media creams all over Brady. The Colts I'll always have a hatred for because they were stolen away from us but a Manningless Colts team I don't sweat any longer. I feel that Denver may become a rival only because of Manning.

The Skins I detest. It goes back to Rozelle & Cooke being bed partners. Cooke was the main reason why it took so long for us to get back into the NFL. Plus, I do a fair amount of estimates throughout MD. for my company. You would be amazed how many Skin fans there are below 695. When I go into peoples homes, some tell me if I'm going to work for them that I need to leave my Ravens hat at home. I usually come back with since I live in Maryland, I root for the true Maryland team..

So, by division, this is what I came up with...

AFC East: Pats or Jets
AFC North: Steelers and the up-and-coming Bengals
AFC South: used to be the Colts, but I believe the Texans will take over that spot
AFC West: Chargers and possibly the Broncos (pending on how long Manning sticks around & the outcome of our first few games)

NFC East: Redskins
NFC North: Um... no one really...
NFC South: Falcons, simply because Ryan & Flacco will forever be linked due to their draft class
NFC West: 49ers, simply because of Jim & John

...I thought about putting the Packers for the NFC North, but that would only be because my friend Boris & I go back and forth between the Ravens & Packers winning the Super Bowl every year. :242736:

~ Malkavian Raven

PS: Boris is currently not speaking to me because I told him his Packers were going to miss the playoffs this year. The Lions will take their conference & the Packers will miss out on the Wild-Card spot/s.

We don't consider you a rival because you never win. We beat you every time. You're what? 1-8 against us?
You have one single win over us that came against an injury riddled Patriot team. It stung at the time but the whole situation stung (the state of our team headed into the post season), not just the "loss to the Ravens." The loss to the Colts where we let Manning weasle his way into the Superbowl stung. The loss to the lolJets after smashing them 45-3 a few weeks earlier stung. The loss to the Giants after going undefeated through out the regular season stung. Sorry, but the loss to the Ravens isn't a lingering one. We're over it. We view it as a loss that was the result of not having a healthy football team.

The Ravens have a stiffling defense. That's all we see. A top tier defense that we have to overcome when we play and, as the numbers clearly indicate, do overcome when we play.

The Patriots are now an infinitely superior team than they were last year. This year our offense is expected to meet or surpass the capabilities of our record shattering 2007 squad. Our defense is a thousand times better and more vicious than it was last year. The Patriots went to the Superbowl last season and this season they're twice the team they were then.

The Ravens have just gotten older.

You've missed your window for any "rival" status with the Patriots. At least one that is seen as such both ways.

Just the honest truth.

Half the time you beat us (or more), it's because we screw ourselves over. And what would Welker have really brought to the table in that wildcard game? Rice ran the ball 83 yards for the TD and we were up by 7 before you guys even got the ball. Welker wouldn't have helped you stop our running game. We falt out earned that victory, and the injuries on your side didn't have much to do with it.

I don't believe that your defense has drastically improved. I have to SEE it to believe it.

The Ravens aren't as old as people think. People think our defense is solely based on Ed and Ray, but we have plenty of other young guys who were key contributers last season, both offensively and defensively.

Gotta agree with that 100%, and before that happened it was the Play off game the yr before against the Stealers when we Completely fell apart and literally handed them the game. We should have been to the SB the last 2 seasons. Instead of talking about the RAVENS becoming a Dynasty this season with 3 SB trips, we are still trying to get to our First one in the Harbs, Flacco era.

I believe the same exact thing. We could have had two over the last four years. I guess it wasnt meant to be.

Yeah and if you score 70 points you win, too. Here's the thing, though - you don't.
I read through this thread and I just see the delusions of fans of their favorite team, like "we should of won last year's AFC championship because losing by a little is the same as deserved to win.` You had a lot of things go your way in the AFC Championship game. A LOT OF THINGS. You still lost.

You never do what you have to do to beat us. You can't. We always do what we have to do to beat you. We can. See the difference?

September 23rd? Yawn. Just another game, just another win. Not exactly marking my calender.

You're a sad little fella if this is the way you really think. You need to walk around and puff up your chest when you know 100% that your team would much rather play someone else than play the Ravens. To each their own, though.

I just find it odd that you have ZERO SB rings since about....after something came out about....wait, what was it? Riiiiighhttt

So we didn't have what it took to make a 32 yard kick to send it into OT, we didn't have what it took to secure the ball from Moore? Those were beyond our potential????

He's a Patriots fan, of course he is. The reason you see so few of them is these forums is that they couldn't grasp the concepts of "no trolling" and "no smack" so they all got banned a couple of years ago.

In anticipation of the 2012 NFL season I was browsing around the forums of a few AFC teams this morning, including the Dolphins and the Raiders. If you want to hang your head on my post as some sort of victory or validation I don't know what to say beyond keep setting the bar high lol.

This cat does realize they haven't won anything since 2004 and they play in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL.

Week 3 prime time at the bank? Good luck with that one

Actually he has every right to be THAT type of fan. I fully believe most Pats fans dont view us as a rival and thats fine they dont have to. A win is a win, but of those wins most if not all have been by less than three with less than two minutes left in the game. If the Pats were THAT good, this would not be the case.
