I love Tebow. I have a great amount of respect for him as a person and even as a professional football player. For all the adversity he faces, he always stays positive. When he wins, he gives the glory to his teammates and God. I don't think there are many more players that match his level of respect, drive, and class. I hope he earns his right to be a pro bowl player this year. I hope he does great in his career. I believe he will take Sanchez's job around mid-season. He's a great guy and I'll be rooting for him whenever we aren't playing him.

He doesn't flaunt? He's just thankful for everything he's got. The media is why people don't like Tebow. They just put to much coverage of him because of his story, and the conservancy that they make of him.

I like him off the field because he's a great person who helps a lot of people. He is a role model who i got a ton of respect for.

I like him on the field because he is the clutchest player I have ever seen.

You can't fault him because of ESPN & NFLN, or because he belives in something that you don't.

You could say he's a horrible QB. But he's only entering his 3rd year, doesn't even have 16 starts yet, and took the Broncos to the playoffs. Their Defense could have been #1, IDC. The Broncos whole team went there. And Tebow was responsible for alot of it.

It's not like he builds himself up and say he's the best QB in the league. He's just trying his best to improve himself, you just can't fault him for that.
If he had a record of like 2-11 then yes, I would agree. There is nothing special about him and all he is, is a great person. But for the fact that he wins games is the only thing that matters.

*drops mic*

The clutchest player you've ever seen? Hardly. Unless you define clutch as playing like straight garbage for 3 and a half quarters and then finally getting something going. The fact is his team had to step up big time and his opponents had to make a few mistakes for all of that to be possible. Prater was clutch, Demaryius Thomas was clutch, Tebow simply didn't stink as bad in the final minutes.

Again alot of things went right for them to make the playoffs. And let's not forget they still had a paltry 8-8 record in the weakest division in the NFL. That would have been good for 4th place in our division and barely more relevant than the Browns.

Werent there SOME people on this very site who said that Sanchezwas better than Flacco ?

A legit question and also an attempt to derail the religious conversation that seems to be going no where rather quickly.

If you hate him I can understand this better, but saying Tebow isn't the clutchest player in football sounds crazy to me. He's been clutch since college. QB is the most important position, if he didn't make the plays he did then the Broncos wouldn't have been where they were. He took over a 1-4 team and made it to the playoffs to beat the Steelers in OT? Where he had a career best game. If the almighty great Broncos defense would have prevented Brady from scoring like 5 TDs in one half then maybe Tebow could have had a chance to comeback. Sure some of those point were scored off of Tims turnovers, but you get what I'm saying here.

Until he proves me wrong the dudes a winner. That division was pretty tough 2 years ago. Joe doesn't have pretty stats but he wins game which is the most important thing in any sport. He may not be the best passer but his skillset bails him out of that.

Yes. I admit I did that lol. Though it was two years ago when I was still a noob figuring out how football worked. I was just basing it off of Sanchez's playoff numbers compared to Joe's. Very stupid of me.

Week 4 Jets fans tried to convince us that Sanchez was better, most notably because of playoff stats. As bad as Mark is, I would bet money that Tebow is not going to be starting at any point this year. Fans just want to see it happen, it won't. The Jets need a guy who can complete the ball with some accuracy, not someone to pull out a last-second win against the AP-less Vikings or Forte/Cutler-less Bears.

One plus one = too many

I don't think the bad day of practice is too big of a deal but this is controversy waiting to happen. Tebow, the back-up QB, got a press conference upon signing with the Jets and has had media availability pretty much everyday.

You can't hate Tebow for Tebow - he's humble, a good citizen, and a good guy - but the media coverage would nauseate anyone.

Honestly it would not surprise me at all if Greg McElroy is the Jets' starting QB at the end of the season. And I actually think in the right system he can be a solid game managing starter, like a slightly watered down Chad Pennington.

I'm sorry man, but I couldn't resist. You hit basically all of his points in one paragraph. I felt like I was watching First Take.

Oh yea, this should be epic. Will be quite enjoyable! Just read on NFL.com that Rex claims he's the best defensive coach in the NFL, nobody even comes close. He'll never learn.......

They had that on NFL Total Access last night. Rex went on and on about it. Even talked about his time with the Ravens.

SOME accuracy, I said. As opposed to none. Tebow will get some gadget plays in early in the season, and when he starts to suck, I don't think fans will be clamoring for Sanchez to be pulled in favor of a QB who they've seen do even worse.

He talked about how he never ranked lower than 6th in total defense with the Ravens. Yeah, neither did Greg Mattinson.

He had enough accuracy to throw 2 TDs and run in 1 vs the number 1 defense last year...

Ummm... Kyle Boller is a better passer than Tim Tebow. There is no argument you can make to say Tebow is a good passer.

Exactly. I think that if he doesn't figure it out this season he should convert to running back or tight end or something where throwing the ball isn't needed. He has too much athleticism for his career to be squandered on figuring out how to pass. He could do great things!

A good QB does what they're supposed to do. All I said was Tebow was good enough to tear up the #1 defense. He may be inconsistent but he doesn't turn the ball over much. I'm not denying that he sucks at passing but he gets the job done.

I would take Tebow over Sanchez any day.

Wouldn't a good QB lead an offense to be better than the 31st ranked passing offense? By the way, the same guy that tore up the #1 defense got crushed by the 31st ranked passing defense just one game later.

Like I said he's inconsisent. The whole team won that game vs the Steelers, Tebow did great. The whole team lost to the Patriots, Tebow did bad. Not even Timmy can comeback from 5 TDs in the first half, especially when the QB he's facing is Brady...

I look pass the stats and see Tebow go clutch mode, bringing a 1-4 team to the playoffs. That about does it for me.
