Ferrari fan is a PC gamer. Will have to get him in here. Theres a few others aswell.

I also have a couple SSD's in mine. Intel 80GB for OS, and an OCZ 60GB for game install.

I score a 7.7 out of the Possible 7.9 on the Win7 rating system.

Hmm....I may need to commission you to build me a rig when I put some cash together...we won't discuss it here since that's technically against the rules, but I'll PM you when I'm ready.

In the meantime...WOW. I'm impressed. Did you do the decals yourself? And I'm blown away by the specs.

The Vinyl decals are custom die cut. I have a friend in North Carolina who owns a vinyl Cutting business. I emailed him designs and he cuts them out and sends to me. I wanted a nice quality case, that also followed a Theme. Black and white was perfect. And I Sleeved some of the PSU wires in Red to follow a black and red theme inside, along with Red and black fans.

This rig will be relevant for many many years to come. I went pretty all out. "next gen" consoles wont even touch this when they come out. Next gen is here already folks! its a pc!

That or take a look at the 560Ti's. Great cards. If you look in my album on that site, you'll see I used 560Ti sli for awhile. I wanted to just use 1 powerful card because game devs are getting lazy and not implementing SLI correctly.

Yeah most games are not very well designed for SLI. However BF3 runs as smooth as glass with the graphics maxed out for me. I guess I don't need any more just yet

Thats more so with the 400 series Fermi. My Twin Frozr II 560ti was nice and cool.

Now the new Kepler from nvidia, now that runs cool as hell. 29c idle. (my GTX 670)

but the trick is the 4 and 5 series above 60 requires its own nuclear facility to power just one let alone sli. the ongoing joke by AMD designers was entered in this Commercial

Just built my first gaming rig!

Aside from the disk transfer rate, I score a 7.7 across the board on all components according to the Windows Experience Index.

Intel 3rd-gen i7 3770K (3.50GHz) on an ASUS P8Z77-V mobo
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 CPU (2GB)
8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB Seagate HDD

I'd like to upgrade the memory (memory is cheap), and I'd like to add another optical drive in addition to my current Blu-Ray drive. On top of those optional desires, I'd like to add liquid cooling and possibly an SSD.

I'm thrilled with my machine so far. It can capably handle GTAIV at max settings and I'm curious as to other games I can throw at it... (Steam shopping spree soon! lol)

ok guys all this talk I am looking to upgrade my dinosaur , I am looking at a APU board combo on new egg for 134 its a 3500 with Asus F1A55-m LE , thinking of going with 8Gb of Corsair . and possibly topping it off with a Raid Max Ranger Case. eventualy I plan on upgrading my graphics since the chip will crosfire with a 6670 . I think this will make for a decent budget system any opinions on it ?

I'm guess, for that price range, the CPU is a triple-core at best? Quad-core seems to be a necessity in today's PC market and I'd lean towards such unless you really can't afford to throw in a few extra dollars.

Personally, I'm an Intel fan so I really couldn't advise you on AMD chips and compatible boards. Going with ASUS for your mobo is a good choice, though.

As for the case, I'm a fan of Corsair's products. I much prefer their minimalist designs to the flashier stuff out there.

It has been a looooooong time since I built my last rig. I was probably just out of high school. I had Win95 and Windows 2000... Win95 was just so I could continue to play Wolfenstein. (LOL)

My current PC, really need to do something with the graphics card. Then again, it's about 6 years old and it's about shot. Maybe when the time comes, I'll talk with a co-worker of mine -- he just got himself a brand new HP EliteBook for almost $2,500. I am so jealous of that thing. (LOL)

Instead, I've got my all in one HP desktop with a lousy 3.8 rating due to the graphics card. Everything else is around 5.9, 6.2, 6.7. Stupid graphics card.

With its quad-core processor, 16GB of RAM and AMD FirePro M5950 GPU, it's no surprise that our EliteBook 8560w review unit was a stunning performer. Windows Experience Index (WEI) reported scores of 7.0 or more (out of 7.9) for every subsystem except Primary hard disk (Disk data transfer rate), which got a still-respectable 5.9.

The remaining scores were 7.0 for Gaming Graphics (3D business and gaming graphics performance and Graphics (desktop performance for Windows Aero), 7.5 for Processor (calculations per second) and 7.6 for RAM (Memory operations per second).
