Obviously from my moniker I'm a Harbs fan. It's hard to believe a that I was for Garrett to become head coach. I knew during year one the ravens made the right call. Boy I'm glad I didn't get my wish.

I don't usually read Albert Breers articles, but that one was actually surprisingly good.

I was never a fan of Garrett to come here. I admit that I wanted Rex to become our HC .....not some former Eagles ST coach. But we all see how everything turnt out, and I'm grateful to have Harbs now.

Hopefully he stays here for a long, long time.

That really is a great article, the way nfl.com used to be.

Harbs was such an unknown when he first came here but he's outpaced almost all of the guys who were more well-known at the time and since. Truth be told, I never wanted BB to leave but Harbaugh has done really well.

In reading the article I kept thinking that part of the problem was Rex.

Reading those comments by coach Harbaugh might have gotten me more pumped for the season then any other video or article i've read. This team is close to his vision. Wow.

Does everyone remember the date of Sept, 29, 2008? Thats the night when John Harbaugh stood on the sideline of Hienz field before a games against the Steelers and told the world, We're building a Dynasty.

I knew right then that Harbs was the right man for this team. That is such a power statement to make, especially for a first time coach. I can't help but imagine that, this is what Harbs is talking about with the team seeing his vision.

When you take a step back and really look at the past 4 seasons, the only thing that has prevented us from really talking about a Dynasty are the mistakes we've made. Not necessarily other teams just being better.

I know most will disagree, but when you look back at our last 4 teams, none of them were really Super Bowl type teams imo. We had too many holes, mix and match Oline, poor WR corp and a lot of young players trying to find their way.

Yet we probably should have at least played in the Super Bowl 3 out of those 4 years. That's a tesiment to the great job Harbs has done and it's just ashame that more people haven't taken notice.

This 2012 version of the Baltimore Ravens might be the best we've seen so far. Harbs has these guys ready. We as Ravens fans are in for something special this year, and the haters can't do anything about it.

I can dig it.
Made playoffs 4 times under billick and 4 times under harbs.
Yes we got our ring under billick but harbs has consistently got us in a position for another one. Falling twice in the afccg

I felt the same way - people criticized Billick for never having an offense here and at the end were saying it was mostly the talent in Minnesota and not his ability. Well I thought it swung the other way a bit - it's one thing to have the luxury of a Randall Cunningham, Robert Smith, Randy Moss, Chris Carter, etc. and another to try and come here and win with a revolving door of quarterbacks (many of whom your FO drafted) and no receiving threats outside of your tight end. But Harbs being a guy with absolutely no HC experience coming into a team full of vets like Ray, Ed, Sizzle, Bart, etc., with a rookie QB from a spread offense, to win the the way he has, and more importantly winning the respect of the players the way he has, IMO is a fantastic job.

Yes and for that ring, the "Offensive Genius" BB needed the greatest defense of all time.

Pretty amazing story. I am so glad we have him at the helm of our ship. However, kudos to Steve Bisciotti for recognizing these traits in him and hiring him over other stalwart coaches. I am glad we passed on Rex Ryan and that Cowboys HC Garrett!

[/quote] Still miss Billick but I like the new discipline, things were so bad Billicks last year I wished Bart Scott had spiked the ref then there was the infamous 'Malice in his heart' game against Suggs a few years prior. I don't miss the several 15 yarders a game

We just moved up here from Florida three weeks ago, and I have to admit that Harbaugh has made me a Ravens fan. I look forward to going to some of the games this year because I think he has coached these players well, and they play with a passion that is exciting to watch. I've met him once already outside of the realm of football, and I look forward to seeing him more through my work with youth softball around the area this Fall and next Spring/Summer. He's A) a great family man and B) a great coach. Those two things right there are A+ qualities that will make any team fight like mad for you!

Thank you! :) My husband was "transported" (that's what son says) from Shands in Gainesville, FL to Johns Hopkins earlier this month. We're excited about being here! I know you're not supposed to talk about personal things on here if I read the rules right, but I just wanted to share a bit about how we ended up here.
