Yes we do , his name is Vonta. You do know Full backs can carrie the ball too....

Its just Cam will try to pass on the goal line instead of doing what makes since.
Fullbacks very rarely carry the ball in today's NFL. Did you get frozen in the 1970's? Did you just get thawed out? Leach has never been one to carry the ball. Look at how many career rushes he has. Even on other teams, he didn't get the ball.

Your second post is just wrong. There have been many times Cam repeatedly tried to run the ball on the goal line, to no avail. Actually, I think he runs the ball more than he passes on the goal line.

Ummmm,
Never herd of him...
Sounds like a kind of car. Is Vonta really a car ? I am sure you can carrie a lot of footballs in a car. Espicially the new full size 2012 Vonta.

*sigh*

Before seeing any action, I would've said:
Rice, Pierce, Allen with Berry to PS and Rainey cut or possibly to PS instead.

At this moment my "rankings" are:
Rice, Pierce, Rainey with Berry headed back to PS and Allen being cut.

I liked Allen last year and was pulling for him this year, but Rainey can not be overlooked (not saying anyone is overlooking him). However, I do think Allen is still very much in the running. There's enough of TC and preseason games left for the lineup to change again.

Rainey did look good, but I think everyone is forgetting that was against 3rd stringers lol. He does look good though, he needs to play against ones before I anoint him the two spot lol.

Think i already posted this but, i like this kid Rainey. Reminds me of Rice but he is a little bit taller (rainey is) and to me looks a bit more elusive.

I was a big fan of A.Allen but after watching him in the ALT. game, im done with him. Couldn't run and couldn't block. He almost got Flacco killed.

I can kinda understand why he couldn't get any yardage running because of the o line but Blocking, that no excuse. He let a guy get through the line untouched.

Rainey and Berry i think in my book, not sure about Pierce since he didnt play but from what i hear, he is a beast. I like that he is a taller RB, long stride. Kinda reminds me of AP. (body type wise and stride)

I thought Allen would come on strong this year as well but from the looks of it hes regressed.
Thought the samething, i was yelling at the t.v saying get him out of there, he is going to get Joe Killed. I was really big on him last yr but now i see why they didn't use him. So i will humbly eat my words, because i talked him up so much.

Side note - No one, i mean No one can change my mind about LQ Williams, he is my favorite Raven on the offense. Plus he is homegrown, i love that. I think im going to get a LQ Williams #15 Jersey.

I'm very big on Damien Berry he runs very hard and always falls forward to finish runs, he can catch out of the backfield and plays special teams well, he was a CB in college for awhile also so is willing tackler for ST..

But I think that Pierce will back up Rice, with Bobby Rainey as our 3rd back Rainey has been extremely impressive in these games, he has shown good playmaking ability...

Allen just hasn't looked powerful at all, I thought he would be more of a bruising back, but he has gone down rather easily, coming into the preseason I expected Allen and Pierce to lead the RBs, but seems to me that Rainey has step in there

I like Berry too, he's done nothing to lower his stock at all. I fear if we put him on the PS yet again a team will snatch him up - namely Pittsburgh. I don't see how you overlook Rainey though. The guy has been fantastic and he can return kicks also. I guess tough decisions like this are good to have.

Bobby is like Little Ray's twin. Both 5'8" and about 205-210, and the same age.

1. Ray Rice
2. Pierce
3. Rainey

Rice is obvious. Pierce is the power guy who can also catch. Rainey is the fastest RB and could play a Sproles role

Actually against Jacksonville's starters, Rainey looked as good, if not better than Pierce at times.

Anthony Allens problems came from losing weight, he dropped 10lb in the offseason to get quicker but it seems to have cost him some power.

I just read the first few posts in this thread and have seen how everyone's views on the RB situation have turned around. Allen nor Berry has shown they are capable of making many plays, Pierce looks to be the #2 in my opinion because of his change of running style. Bobby Rainey is just a playmaker, you give him the ball and he does things with it. I really like him.
This is how I see it now.
1. Ray Rice
2.Bernard Pierce
3. Bobby Rainey

Allen or Berry, one of them cut maybe both, or 1 to the PS.

Leach is going to straight up embarrass somebody late in a game this year. You're a linebacker that spent 3 quarters chasing Rice, Rainey, Pitta and Dickson out of a no huddle, then this team has the audacity to go I-formation and send a hungry Vonta Leach followed by Bernard Pierce at you for the rest of the night? C'mon son.

[*]berry is more like a "catch and run" type of back, i thinks he excells when the ball is throwing to him vs running the ball.
[*]AA- for some reason he's struggling , so i dont know how confident our coaching staff our with him as a back up, i thought he was gonna be the back up coming in to the season and i guess he slacked thinking the spot will b handed to him.
[*]pierce looked good with the limited reps he got in the preseason, we need to see more of him vs rams to see how good he really is,
[*]rainey, is a heavy version of rice, but to me he could be a gem in this years UDFAs, we can't cut him but we should put him on IR or PS, since the RB like the WR position is deep this year.

Rice, pierce, Rainey. None of the back ups have much game experience so I'm basing this solely on what I saw in preseason.

Rainey looks like a baller though.

I think pre-season showed us who's staying and going. I have Leach, Rice, Pierce and Rainey. That to me is a lethal backfield. When we go split backfield with Rainey and Rice, a TE and Boldin and Smith, I see big problems for opposing defenses. There is no way we don't keep Rainey with the way he has performed. Then there was the fact they let him run with the ones.

I think Rainey will fit our no huddle offense much better.

Berry did show some talent, but Rainey was the more flashy and productive one this preseason.

I guess our offense is moving from that hard nose run first offense to a more explosive no huddle offense.

It's going to be Flacco's team from here on and it's his chance to prove that he's the best in the league.

We didn't need to draft Pierce a RB especially in the 3rd round... but anyways Rice, Allen, and Pierce will make the squad.

BPA. I also t think he was a backup solution to if we weren't able to retain Rice. It doesn't hurt to have to good runners. Worse come to worst we can trade him for value or use him if Rice gets injured or starts to show wear and tear.

What has AA shown to make you think he gets a roster spot?

Allen is cut, after the performace he showed in the previous game and then not getting really any reps at all in the Jags game, Im pretty sure his number is up for the next line of cuts. Benard showed a lot of power and balance, staying up even when getting hit. Rainey seems to be a Ray Rice clone the way he can shake defenders and catch out of the backfield. So I would assume the RB from UM will probably be back on the practice squad again, and Allen will be cut, leaving Rainey,Rice, and Benard as our guys for this season. Honestly, I think Bobbie has done enough to potentially battle for that #2 spot after watching him go yard for 48 yards. Lets see if Brenard can show the coaches more of what he has available on this last preseason game and attempt to keep Rainey at the #3 spot.

AA has done nothing to make this team... RR, Rainey, Pierce, Leach.. not really a debate in my mind. Barry isn't bad, but the rest are just better.

Special teams blocking. He's real good at it. Which is a shame he can't do things a big back should be able to do, since he'd be a 3 tools guy (short yardage, pass protection and special teams).
