(Rumor) Final Fantasy Versus Cancelled...

So disappointed. Starting to wonder if they're just wanting to keep the Final Fantasy games as the linear version.

Yeah it is disappointing. It was supposed to all tie into the events of XIII. From what I hear there are rumblings of another sequel. And XV apparently in the works. Feel like they have lost their main focus since IX. I didnt mind XIII and XIII-2 is ok from what I have played. Versus looked real interesting to say the least.

I loved exploring an entire world and going places on the map in which my level didnt really allow for just to run into a random battle against a regular beast that was 2 times stronger than the last boss I faced just for the hell of a challenge. They even put a cap on how much you can grind until you progress in the story. [/color][/font]

Im not going to purchase another FF game until a REAL FFVII remake is done or they pick back up on Vs.XIII[/color][/font]

Wasn't this game announced just before the release of the Ps3? We might see the next gen consoles before this comes out, assuming the rumor was indeed false.

If it has truly been cancelled, then the only thing that surprises me is that it took so long for the rumor to start. Given their recent record it might not have been anything that I would have enjoyed anyway.

Quite the contrary. Open world environment, Crisis Core FFVII battle system, Real signs of humanity like, things that occur in our world, occur in theirs. Real life characters built to mimic everything a human being would do. They are supposedly pushing the PS3 to its breaking point to create a true real life masterpiece.

Hence the reason they have announced it not too far after the PS3 launched and they have taken the whole life span of the system to a year from now probably to create the game. When this game comes out, it will be a Squaresoft of old feeling
