Proud of Our Ravens

19 posts in this topic

This is a post about how proud i am of our Ravens for staying out of trouble this offseason. It seems like every other day something is getting arrested for DWI's, confrontations with family or in Dez Bryants case hitting his own mother.

Ravens fans should be proud that we have such outstanding character in our organization. I think this show the value Ozzie, Eric, and the scouts/coaches put into a persons character. They have have great talent but if the can't be mature and grow as individuals it is rare the Ravens take a chance on a guy and have it blow up in their faces.

I have not heard one bad article about a Ravens player being in trouble this offseason when a new case pops up every day. So congrats to those MEN and to the Ravens organization. Ravens fans should be proud.

1 goal in mind, and that is to finish what we started and make it to the superbowl that we should have been in last year. ...lets just leave it at that.

This organization makes me proud, they are truly first class and all about winning.

The good stories don't get much attention and you mostly hear about all the bad things players are doing. They should spotlight the Ravens and see how things are really done.

Professionals all the way....

Im actually proud of our Fans, we may have a smaller fan base compared to other teams but we bleed Black and Purple football more and are way more dedicated.

Thats why i think instead of people saying " The RAVENS Nation", i think they should say " The RAVENS Nation Army" < we may be smaller in numbers but we are stronger and more united.

No it was Andy Moller with a DUI.

Great post. We have really turned things around from the time when people labeled us thugs. I really like how it's the young guys like Webb, Flacco, Rice, Torrey, and McClain who are really out in front leading the way in the community.

Guys like Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Matt Birk and Boldin have really taught these young guys well.

They say a team is a direct reflect of it's head coach. Well I'm looking at Harbs and i really like what I see. He has a new message for this team every year to get them locked in and focused.

Rex Ryan took "Play like a Raven" and tried to apply it to what he wanted to accomplish in NY, I can't blame him. That's all Rex new for like 10+ years. You see the national media soaking that Play Like A Jet thing up like it's something Rex started. However what people have to understand is, that's not just something the Ravens say and do on the field. It's much more.

Harbs should change it to "Act Like A Raven" because to be a Raven is so much more then just on field play. Steve Bisciotti has built a family like atmosphere among this team, and we the Fans are truly an extension of that.

During the 2010 year, I remeber riding in a car with my Uncle to his house to watch the Steelers vs Ravens playoff game. Driving to his house, we rode pass some many Raven flags flying high from peoples front yard or porch, car flags, shirts, hats, jerseys. It was flat out amazing. Because I was born in 1984, I was never blessed with the chance to witness the Colts play. So before the Ravens all I knew of what Baltimore as a baseball town.

So while riding I turned to my Uncle and asked, if people were this geedy about the Colts. He looked at me as if I was crazy and said of course. Then I said, so much for Baltimore being a baseball town. He looked at me and said, this is nothing new, Baltimore has always been a football town.

Even though I never got a chance to actually see the Colts, I still consider myself proud to be a Baltimore Football Fan. it just so happens that "Ravens" is the name we bare now.

I wrote something along these lines last off-season during the lockout. Reading this brought about feelings of deja vu.

I couldn't agree more.

It is about the professionalism instilled in them starting from the top all the way to their peers! Also, don't discount our scouting team that does a phenomenal job with character backgroud for all these young players! Go Ravens so very proud of all of you!

Since Rex Ryan left us being a very prideful persona in our facility. We Raven fans still have not lost that "BlackBird Nation": pride and I very glad for this...
