Steelers sign OT Max Starks, Cut OT Jonathan Scott

Pittsburgh signed OT Max Starks on Tuesday - he'd suffered an ACL last January, but (apparently) he's healed enough to return. They had resigned him last season during week 2, after TSizzle had burned them for 3.5 sacks week one. The OT Suggs burned was... Jonathan Scott - who the Steelers released yesterday.

Starks is [b]certainly[/b] an upgrade over Scott, and will compete with (2nd round) rookie Mike Adams for the starting LT job. Starks started all last season at LT, until he blew out the knee against the Broncos in the playoffs. This roster move also saves them $2.2 Million in salary... which may be used to sign Mike Wallace to a (rumored) long term deal.

Steeler forums are buzzing (in a celebratory fashion) over this move... Scott was likened to a turnstile, and Suggs certainly proved that, week 1 last year...

This is just another step in the Steelers' ongoing upgrade to their OLine...

Lol Starks is better than Scott... Scott is [b]SO[/b] bad that Roethlisberger wore a #78 jersey in mini-camp, campaigning for the Steelers to sign Starks. Imagine how Scott felt, when your QB begs their FO to replace you! Lmao...
