Mass Shooting at colorado premiere for the dark knight rises

Wow, okay. Is it even legal in the first place for a civilian?

By the way, I looked into it, and Colorado does have the death penalty, but they rarely apply it. Apparently it's up to the jury to decide should the person qualify. And what do you know, he does. I can't imagine him not getting sentenced to lethal injection after all of this...

They called his mother in San Diego and she said "you got the right person".

Cool, so you knew he was a deranged psychopath?

That bit of information is deeply chilling and disturbing.

she had been trying to reach the college and the police for weeks for them to check on him , that sounds eerily like what happened at VT

Yeah, I wonder if she tried getting him help but he denied it and kept saying how he was alright. I been reading comments on this story on different websites and I have seen people write that the father should have used a condom and that those people wouldn't be dead or hurt if he did.

I don't know how people can say that as you can't tell how anyone will act so I don't get why people are commenting and saying that this wouldn't have happened if they used a condom.

That's pretty much a "tongue in cheek" type of comment. Guess they think it's a clever way of stating the world would be a better place if he never existed. Which is probably true, unfortunately.

Has there been any mention as to a motive? Has this bozo said anything yet?

There's much worse ways to say the same thing. People are gonna say all sorts of stuff. I wouldn't read too much into it.

This is truly a sad incident. To hear that servicemen also were killed hits it closer to home for me as a veteran.

The University of Colorado is doing an investigation on whether the killer took advantage of his position of being a graduate to order the materials in the potentially deadly booby traps that police found in his apartment. For over 4 months he got deliveries to his home and to the school.

Also he is now in Solitary Confinement and denied an interview request.

This is why I would never want to be a lawyer. I would have to stand up for things I don't believe.

It was more than just Peyton Manning who took the time to visit with survivors of the attack. Joe Mays, Ryan Clady, Chris Kuper, Ben Garland, Eric Decker, Jacob Tamme, and Brian Dawkins all should be mentioned as well if you're going to mention Peyton.

I'm curious to see how his court appearance goes today... should be interesting.

Such a devastating and tragic event. Seeing the pictures of the victims yesterday was breaking my heart.

Yeah, at the time it only had said Peyton Manning.

But I do tip my hat to those players as well.

Oh boy... let's hope no other crazy people like this James Holmes bought guns other wise Colorado is in trouble. Apparently since the shooting, gun sales have gone up in Colorado by 41%.

Great... now there is a chance another crazy person could kill more innocent people because most likely that is what will happen. Though it's crazy how gun sales did go up over this, are people that insensitive that instead of feeling sorry for the innocent people killed that instead they buy a gun all because this dude used a gun?

I also read too that 3 boyfriends died protecting their girlfriend from the gun shots. Now those 3 are Real Men right there.

They probably bought more guns for protection from crazy people like Holmes. Atleast I hope so. Here is some guy who seems completely normal, no police record or nothing that shoots up abunch of innocent people.

I can understand why some people would want to buy guns there for that reason. They might also think that they have to hurry and buy one incase our government takes away our right to have one, or make the laws more strict because of this whole mess.

And I couldn't agree more, true heroes.

That was always a possibility, and it seems that it always happens every now and then.

The next time someone tries it in Colorado though, they might find their victim is packing. Or better yet, knowing that so many people are armed, might make a would be criminal think twice.

So you're saying that by buying a firearm, people are insensitive? You obviously dont own a gun.
