So sad..... just horrible. I will never understand a "motive" behind something so sick. Shooting random people, kids at point blank for no reason. It just makes my stomach ache.

True, I don't understand why the infant was there (3 month old). The 6 year old can be justified, maybe he really likes Batman. It is summer, after all, so no school. Either way, you're not expecting danger going to the movie theater.

It makes you think, someone with this apparent education pretending to be the Joker, what else is he capable of doing? If he really is portraying this character then something else involving him could likely happen.

uhm those bombs in his apartment have multiple trip wires and they arent sure how to disarm them. any armed forces troop will tell you that was not Tear Gas he used that was CS people were Vomiting , aparently one of the items wired to explode in the apartment is a Mortar Round , how did he get this stuff.

I don't know but he needs to be locked away for good before he is able to hurt or kill anyone else.

Precisely, the sad thing is you can find everything he had besides the guns at any remainded military surplus. Aurora is near Ft. Carson in which the 2nd Infantry Division is based. Old low powered artillery wouldnt be impossible to get, being so close to a proving ground like Carson.

This is the kind of stuff that happens when mental health issues go unchecked.
Its sad and tragic and it truly breaks my heart. Its possible this stuff could well have been avoided if there was not such a negative stigma placed on getting mental help.

I mean if you break a leg you go to the hospital right ? Why is it so taboo to go to a therapist if you sturggle with depression or anger or hatred of want to kill your self or other ? Why is it so taboo ? What is so wrong with seeking help?

What people often refer to as "quirks" or "character traits " can some times be symptoms of a mental disorder.

K-Dog - people see it as weakness. Or they really don't see anything wrong because it's become their normal. Also, in this case, if he HAD said anything about homicidal urges, a therapist would be forced to break confidence and notify the authorities. Which makes this even sadder... one visit to a therapist, one mention, and this wouldn't have happened.

Tear gas and CS gas are two different things? I always just thought they were the same... is CS more lethal or something?

CS is alot stronger than Tear Gas. It chokes you up really well then makes all of your sinuses open fully leading to some ugliness. I know, I have been in the gas chamber and forced to take a big gulp of it. Not fun for sure

there is a stern warning which is why they do the chamber in training , Do not USE THIS in a Enclosed Environment is what is generaly said , and it can be deadly in an enclosed space like a theater especialy to anyone dealing with a disease such as COPD , Emphysema , or asthma . Keep in mind from a friend of mine who almost became a DI USMC They actualy use only a 60/40 mix in the training room , because of it being enclosed.
