Not so much if as when... But any guesses on how long it takes a newly drafted rookie to either get in trouble or fail a test?

Since all passed the drug test before the combine... I'm gonna be nice and say within 2-3 months

This is particularly ugly:

Former 49ers defensive tackle and Super Bowl champion Dana Stubblefield was charged Monday with the rape of a “developmentally delayed” disabled woman, the Santa Clara (Calif.) County District Attorney’s office announced.

I'll reserve judgement until after conviction

Sadly conviction doesn't mean anything anymore.  People form opinions based on accusations

True, it's why I said "possible"

Can't understand men doing such a thing or women looking for a payday making false accusations

Cause they get alot of money if they succeed and no punishment if they don't.

Usually it goes under as a misdemeanor,  up to $5,000 fine,  and up to a year in prison.  Obviously these penalties can vary depending on state and judge.

Can't remember where I read it before,  it was when I was doing criminal justice studies.   What I was reading didn't give a specific case,  only what 'could'  be charged.

Well what "could" be charged (which is that) and what IS charged (which is nothing) are two very different things.

I've only ever seen defense and sympothy for the accuser and demonization of the accused

True.  That could go for a lot crimes.

It is truly sad how much damage that can do to someone, but its looked upon as "wrong" to question the accuser most of the time.

USM because most women who falsely accuse knowingly also know how to hide behind the false memory due to mental illness they rarely prosecute the accuser . The accused is usually left with a damaged reputation ...... ask me how I know that .

Tarvaris Jackson arrested for pointing a gun at his wife.  His wife's response is freaking classic.

Quote

Jackson later told police he did grab a bag containing his gun and told his wife that he should shoot her. Per the report, Jackson’s wife replied that he “better be accurate because you ain’t accurate on the field.

Even though not a single team would sign Johnny Manziel at this point, the NFL has suspended him 4 games for violating the Substance Abuse Policy.

 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000672432/article/nfl-suspends-johnny-manziel-four-games

Also the NFL has suspended Jets DL Sheldon Richardson one game for violating the league's personal-conduct policy for an off-season arrest. This means he will miss the week one opener against the Bengals.

To top it off, Defensive End DeMarcus Lawerence had his appeal denied and will serve a 4 game suspension.

Here's a good one...

Free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson requested a public defender in his domestic assault case because he said he has no money.

A public defender is normally free of charge, but can cost up to $100. Jackson has earned over $12 million in his 10-year playing career. He says all of it is gone except for his car that's valued around $100K. NFL players blowing their money and being forced to hang around for a paycheck is far too common.
