It's beginning to seem like half the league will be suspended come Week 1.

Jets DE/DT Sheldon Richardson suspended 4 games for substance abuse - https://twitter.com/RavensInsider/status/616671510019842048

Well luckily for the Jets 5 other teams stupidly passed on Leonard Williams and let him fall to them in the draft. So it seems the Jets d-line may not even skip a beat with Richardson out if Williams comes as advertised.

Dallas better hope Sean Lee can stay healthy, McClain held that defense together when he went down with another ACL injury. Antonio Gates suspension hurts the Chargers in the passing game but I see them leaning toward Melvin Gordon a lot to help reduce Rivers' passing attempts.

Yeah should be interesting to see Williams play, I think he is going to do well

I am now going to be curious to see what happens with Ladarius Green, guy has had a lot of hype behind him but Gates has been ahead of him. Big opportunity for the guy

This is sort of funny.

@RavensInsider: Anne Arundel police seeking suspect they say resembles, but isn't, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco http://t.co/fW5ehB6bLz

The closest that we will ever come to hearing Joe committed a crime.

From USA Today:

Buffalo Bills assistant coach Aaron Kromer was arrested on a battery charge early Sunday morning.

Walton County jail records show Kromer, 48, was taken into custody just before 2 a.m. and released about an hour later.

He is charged with battery that caused bodily harm.

Kromer was also the interim HC for the Saints during some of the 'Bountygate' suspensions and was the 'inside source' on comments bashing Jay Cutler to the news media (when he was the Bears OC)

Sounds like a 100% nice guy :34853_shakehead: it almost makes me feel ill

Chiefs CB Sean Smith suspended 3 games for DUI.

You can never have enough CBs.

At least they have Marcus Peters(still hate the Chiefs for that).

So one less Broncos player will be available for week one against the Ravens. Broncos DE/DT Derek Wolfe suspended for the first 4 games of the season. His suspension is due to violating the PED policy. With Just in case you need some fantasy advice. Justin Forsett, Jamaal Charles, rookie Ameer Abdullah(Lions) and Adrian Peterson may be in for good days against the Broncos as Wolfe was a great run stuffer.

While there is talk of a settlement in Br*dy's case, the NFL and NFLPA are talking settlement for Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell which would reduce his suspension from 3 games to 1 or 2 games.

Wow.... glad to see the NFLPA supports players who get a DUI by trying to get their suspension lowered.

That is what the NFLPA is in place for. To protect the players when they have been wrongly/unjustly suspended.(obviously there are a multitude of other aspects that it's in place for) Just like in the Hardy case, they felt that he had already served his suspension last year and fought for him to get his 10 game suspension reduced. They won and got it to 4.

In Bell's case, I believe I read that he took classes and took some type of probation to have the charges dismissed from his record. We have seen in other cases that doing those steps has resulted in a reduction of a suspension.

I really don't think that the NFLPA is condoning going out and smacking around women or doing drugs and driving around. They are simply doing their job and fighting for the players rights.

Bell officially down to 2 game suspension. Sucks for the Ravens because at his 3 game suspension, and our Thursday night game, he would have only been allowed to practice for two days. Now he has a week and a half to practice and also help out the Steelwrs greatly against the Rams.
