Arrest / Fine / Suspension Thread

I really do not understand why a team like the Bears signed McDonald in the first place. All those arrests are such a red flag! Charges in these things are usually dropped by women who are either paid off or don't want to disrupt their meal ticket, because they become uncooperative with the State's attorney prosecuting the case. After a while you have to realize that after all those arrests, someone has to have a serious problem.

I was reading on PFT that they were saying teams should be held accountable. I'm not sure how that would work because teams can't be held accountable for players' stupid off the field decisions and what they do away from the team.

How many charges have been filed, convictions hm? HM? None. Arrests happen (an insane amount here) Ahmad brooks was accused of rape by one of ray mcdonalds accusers. He's never been charged and I doubt he will be... There's no case in any of these 5 (pending thsi current one)

The cost of fame is having to always have your guard up.

McDonald clearly isn't being smart if he's continually putting himself in positions where he's been accused. When you play with fire enough times, you eventually get burnt.

Bears DL Ray McDonald has been arrested for domestic violence.  Again.  He'll be gone in Chicago soon.

I feel like this is becoming a broken record. Ray McDonald has been arrested.......... AGAIN. Seriously you can't make this stuff up. This time he was arrested for violating a restraining order, that was put in place on..... Monday. It's Wednesday night and he already violated it.

At this point, lock him up and throw away the keys. Dude just doesn't learn.

Twice in one week? Too stupid to walk around free. This time there's less of a chance to beat the charges, too.

I wish I could hire him to walk up to people and deliver that line.

I don't think that was the point of the post (to say lock him up right now). He is certainly very stupid. I believe he'll get what he deserves in the end.

When they get him on something, than he will be locked up.

They'll get him this time for violating the restraining order.

Falcons LB Prince Shembo has been arrested for animal cruelty.  Allegedly killed his girlfriend's dog.

I would punish him with a close up meeting with my boy.

And...he's cut. Of all teams, the Falcons really don't need a dog killer.

Allegedly, he kicked the dog to death. Just horrible.

That's messed up. How can someone do that and then keep at it until it does? Some people are just screwed up in the head.

Very small dog. Probably only took one kick. Not that I'm excusing that, but one kick is way less worse than repeated kicks.

Bad day around the NFL. Both of the following stories are on USAToday.

The Washington Redskins were working with the NFL to gather facts Thursday after allegations of domestic violence against Jamison Crowder surfaced on the rookie receiver's social media accounts, which appeared to have been hacked.

And

The son of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen has been placed on indefinite leave by the organization following his arrest Wednesday on a domestic violence charge.

John Michael Bowlen, 29, who works for the Broncos in an administrative role in the marketing department, is being held without bond at the Arapahoe County Jail, according to court records.

Yeah so, the perks of being the son of an NFL Owner getting arrested for Domestic Violence include being put on on a leave of absence or what the Broncos say indefinite leave. John Bowlen Jr., the son of Broncos Owners Pat Bowlen was arrested on a domestic violence harassment charge.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/04/john-bowlen-jr-son-of-broncos-owner-arrested-for-domestic-violence/

“We are disappointed to learn of the matter involving John Bowlen, who is a son of Owner Pat Bowlen and an administrative employee with the organization. While this is a personal issue, he is accountable to all club and league conduct policies. As such, John will be placed on an indefinite leave of absence from the organization,” the statement said.

So basically, daddy is going to protect him by telling him to take a leave of absence until this dies and he can walk right back in afterwards like nothing happened.

Yeah, apparently under the influence of alcohol and "whippets"

It was just a year ago Elway's son was arrested for domestic violence, as well - that one sure got swept under the rug fast, too.
