Guess training camp opening has helped. Haven't heard of any problems recently....

Yep, it seems like it. The only thing I have heard is that Ryan Matthews got into a car accident trying to get back to the Chargers' team hotel. I read he lost control of his car and hit another car entering an interstate. An officer said there drugs or alcohol wasn't involved.

So other than that, everything seems to be back to normal. Now players just have to avoid injuries.

Where'd you find that figure, that's a lot

Oops, it's down in the comment section. I thought I had read it in the article.

Ah, I just read it. If true (which it's probably not), that's insane. Almost half a million a month? Jamal didn't even make that much.

Just clicked on at least 10 different stories about this, can't find any info on the monthly amount.

Owens is going through the same thing right now. How are these guys supposed to pay these crazy amounts with no income? Glad it's their problem and not mine. :D

I'm not sure about GA laws concerning child support but your not arrested simply for failing to pay child support. The media always lies with these stories.

They probably first issued a writ or summons to appear in court to Show Cause as to why hasn't made payments. Jamal probably failed to appear or failed to answer and they issued a warrant. He was arrested and posted the cash bond. He'll still have to appear to Show Cause.

As for not seeing his kid, the court can agree to visitation but they're not going to issue a warrant because he didn't see his kid. That's on him. Now if he had when wasn't supposed to then that's different.

The media is a liar and loves making things sound worse than what it is.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000048913/article/chad-johnson-arrested-for-alleged-domestic-violence?module=HP11_breaking_news

Chad Ochocinco Johnson said they accidentally bumped heads. Who knows?

All of these arrests are just plain ridiculous. Here's what it is: Some of the people are just plain old jerks and brats. But with a lot of them, the thing is that they grew up in bad places all around crime, they never really focused on academics or moral values and when they get to the NFL and get all that money, they don't know what to do with it. They spend it all on dumb stuff and then go get themselves arrested. They do not know how to act. A lot of them are just completely deprived of common sense and the simple ability to tell the difference between right and wrong. Now I know nobody is perfect, including me.

But still sometimes when this happens, I find myself wondering why I even follow sports.

I seriously doubt he intentionally head butted her. Things get heated and things happen. He just doesn't seem the type and head butting is just a weird thing to do regardless.

All for a receipt over a box of condoms? She apparently has a laceration on her forehead from this fiasco.

More on the Chad Johnson arrest, he will have to see a judge before being released according to Schefter.

Chad Johnson is still in police custody, will have to see a judge before he is released, according to Davie Police Dept captain Dale Engle.

Source: Adam Schefter's FB.

So he has to see a judge before being released over a headbutt? Um.. ok.

.....and he has to sit in the clink until Monday. Remember kids, getting arrested on the weekend sucks!

I didn't even think about that angle!

So she found a box of condoms or something to that effect? Not good in Miami.

I still think the head butt couldn't have been intentional.

Exactly, you do crime Monday-Thursday if you have a good lawyer.

I like Chad. He hasn't had trouble with the law before and this seems out of character for him. But men who hit women are scum of the earth. The headbutting thing is weird though.. It'll be interesting how this plays out.

Chad Johnson has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence for headbutting his wife.

I can't wait to see how this plays out on Hard Knocks!

His contract with the Dolphins was just terminated. I think it's time for Chad Johnson to kiss the baby on his NFL career.

Wow, what a way to go out.

I read yesterday that she's going to press charges. Chad, looks like you married a whack job!!

If its true that he butted her, surely he's the whack job? Lol

He's also had a tv show cancelled, things just keep getting worse for Chad. But if he's guilty then who can have sympathy? Although, I don't think his version of events is too far fetched!
