Maybe the Harbaughs are competing over who gets the most arrests

I laughed harder than I probably should have at this.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter  1m

LAPD booked 49ers LB Aldon Smith for California Penal Code 148.1(a) - False report of a bomb threat.

It's kinda funny, in a sad kind of way.

Seems this offseason for the Ravens could have been even rougher than it already has been. Recently released WR Tandon Doss was arrested on Wednesday in Indianapolis following a disorderly conduct incident. Seems after the arrest the authorities chose not to press charges against the former Raven but with three players already having legal issues this offseason, another would have made headlines. As it is, not much is being reported concerning the incident I imagine because he is far from a star player and oh yeah, he plays for the Jaguars. Seems the FO continues to show their wisdom as certainly another offseason arrest would have been major news. As it stands, he is just another Jaguar in trouble and as many people care as show up for their games.

I don't understand these fringe WR's that are getting in trouble. One would think they would be doing everything to make/stay on a team rather than dealing with the law...

Looks like McNabb got arrested as well....   per Bleacher Report

Months ago for some kind of traffic offense.

Is anyone really surprised about Doss?

Kind of, this is his first run-in with the law (to my recollection) aside from breaking up a fight at Five Guys lol. Regardless, he was arrested but charges will not be pressed.

Yes, actually. He's got a clean record and he actually broke up a fight a few years ago.

I forgot it was Doss who broke up that fight right before a pre-season game.  I guess this does surprise me a little then.

We should've kept Doss. In fact, let's bring in all the x-cons to see if we can set some kind of record here.

While we're at it, I understand Aaron Hernandez is a free agent.

At least we are in the bottom third, just seems so awful because its recent, and it sounds like 3/4 alcohol was involved. No excuse for DUI and these fools or any fools. I was stupid and did drink and drive, but I was a teen in the 80's and it wasn't a big deal, try getting bored and watching old Adam 12 or TJ Hooker re- runs Just WOW.

Draft prospect CB Bradley Roby was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence. Officers were called to the scene of a person passed out in their car. Couldn't get his attention but when they opened the door, they smelled alcohol.

Definitely going to be interesting to hear his side of the story but it is not something to risk just before the draft regardless

Not exactly related to an arrest but the three men Mike Adams accused of stabbing him have been acquited

http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2014/04/30/jury-deliberations-begin-in-adams-stabbing-case/

Their side of the story was that Adams started the conflict but turned the story around because he 'had too much to lose' if he got in trouble again. Hilarity!

Also from an older story on the trial:

During Mr. Rabner’s closing, he told the jury that Mr. Adams’ account of the events that morning changed three times.

Mr. Adams told the initial officers responding to 17th and East Carson streets simply that he’d been punched in the face and stabbed.

But later, when he spoke with detectives at the hospital, Mr. Adams reported that he was threatened with a gun in his face and heard his attackers say they would kill him in front of the crowd leaving the bars on the South Side that night.

“What happened between Story No. 1 and Story No. 2?” Mr. Rabner asked the jury. “Steelers security goes to the hospital. Steelers security meets with Mike Adams, and lo and behold, let’s go to Story No. 2.

He noted that Mr. Adams told the first officer on the scene “‘I’m a Pittsburgh Steeler.’

“What’s the meaning of that?” Mr. Rabner continued. “The point is, ‘I’m in trouble here. I’m a Pittsburgh Steeler. Protect me. Help me out.’
