Arrest / Fine / Suspension Thread

Soooo apparently when Kellen Winslow got arrested with synthetic pot last month, he was not exactly clothed. And he was alone. So put it together, because I'm not completely sure how far we can take this here. For what it's worth, he claimed he was looking for a Boston Market and stopped for directions and to, apparently, get high.

Also, Davone Bess got arrested at an airport after acting really, really weird and then assaulting the officer who was trying to figure out what was going on. And then he resisted getting arrested for assaulting the officer. I'm gonna put his mugshot in the top 10 NFL mugshots of all time, just because he looks so satisfied with himself -

He was probably high, I think he got busted for weed again a few days ago. The Browns should be concerned, and I think we're starting to see why Miami wanted him gone.

But Philbin is a major stick in the mud. What kind of man, let alone a NFL HC, is afraid of cursing?

Here's a shocker:

Darren Sharper arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of rape

http://usat.ly/1e1R1Cl

He's been suspended from NFL Network for now.

So the "Pick-Magnet" is arrested for suspicion of rape?  Wow!  Unbelievable and a damn shame!  Smh!

Here is a follow up on Josh Brent. He has been convicted of intoxication manslaughter.

After two days of deliberation, a Dallas County jury found Brent guilty. In December of 2012, Brent was driving drunk and wrecked his car, killing passenger and teammate Jerry Brown. Brent now faces up to 20 years in prison but also could be placed on probation. He retired from the NFL last summer.

It isn't an arrest, but it is a lawsuit:

The Oakland Raiders cheerleaders are filing a suit against the team for wage theft and other unfair employment practices.

The lawsuit filed Wednesday in Alameda County Superior Court alleges that the organization withholds all pay from the Raiderettes until the end of the season, does not pay for all hours worked and forces the cheerleaders to pay many of their own business expenses.

According to the filing, Raiders cheerleaders are paid $1,250 per season, which amounts to less than $5 per hour for the time they spend rehearsing, performing and appearing at events for which they are not compensated.

The team had no comment on the lawsuit.

Darren Sharper former Saints DB and NFL network analyst charged with drugging and raping 2 women in LA (felony charges), bail set at $10M.

Sharper apparently invited two women back to his hotel room and gave them liquid shots of Morphine and Ambien causing them to passout. One women awoke while Sharper was "assaulting" her and the other awoke naked a few hours later.

Sharper is also being investigated in 1 or 2 other incidents where he is being accused of rape as well in Arizona and Nevada, all following the same pattern of drugging them. What a mess.

This is a pretty shocking report as before Sharper got fired from NFL network when this story came out a few weeks ago, he seemed like a pretty good, funny, chipper analyst. This could be another Hernandez type of situation.

I HAD NOT HEARD THIS...  I knew that he was no longer on NFL Network, but had not been following stories as to why...  Mr. "Pick Magnet"....  WOW....  If this is true, then lock that guy up and throw away the keys.  This is DISGUSTING.

Yea I was very shocked to here about this when it first broke back in January. Darren Sharper definitely seemed like a decent person on NFL network shows and was a very like-able personality. But this is just nuts, I just dont understand as an exNFL star who is still pretty young, how you have to resort to doing this in order to "pick up chicks" for lack of a better phrase haha Quite bizarre.

Agreed, I always thought Sharper was a pretty good guy, and loved watching him play. Definitely going to see some jail time, but not as much time as Hernandez. Hernandez is pretty much looking at life in there

Ex-NFL S Darren Sharper was booked in a Los Angeles jail Thursday after police in New Orleans obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Sharper, 38, is accused of raping nine women and drugging 11 across five states. He was arrested on January 17 by the LAPD but had been free on bond up until this point. The NOPD warrant is for two counts of aggravated rape. Another man, Erik Nunez, 26, has also been arrested in connection to the rapes. If convicted of aggravated rape in Louisiana, Sharper could face life behind bars.

Life behind bars...

Darren Sharper just got arrested yesterday after police obtained a warrant and is under investigation. If he is found guilty he will face life in prison. Considering there are over 10 cases across 5 different states it really does not look good for him. So you could consider this just as bad or even worse than what Aaron Hernandez is going through. At least Hernandez is an ex gang member and can defend himself in jail. If Sharper is convicted he will be doomed for life...other convicts in jail do not take to kindly to those who commit rape, and they will definitely let Sharper know how they feel about that.
