Arrest / Fine / Suspension Thread

It doesn't look good for him, he was due in court on charges of careless driving, driving without a license and no proof of insurance. Those are pretty serious charges and to miss court, also not a good sign.

Maybe he's trying to be the next Lawrence Taylor.

Von MIller was arrested today for failing to appear in court over traffic violations.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/08/14/von-miller-arrested-on-failure-to-appear-in-court/

This was a remarkably stupid move by someone who is trying to appeal a suspension.  Will be interesting to see if he get his act together or spirals downward.  It doesn't look like he has the intellect to get his act together.  Also looking like the Broncos organization isn't the best place to try to do that.  They have on field talent, but they're becoming the clown car off the field.

Miller's loss is our gain.  They were the best regular season team in the AFC, so every little thing helps us.

Not an arrest for him today, but Von Miller is now a possible witness in a 2012 murder.  And this wasn't a person with character issues coming out of college.  Now he's spiraling out of control.

http://nfl.si.com/2013/08/19/von-miller-reportedly-named-as-potential-witness-to-2012-murders/

Did you read the whole article? He had no involvement and it's no reflection on him. That could have happened to any of us.

So Browns Receivers Greg Little and Josh Gordon got pulled over for going too fast. In Josh Gordon's case, WAY too fast. He was driving 98 MPH in a 60 MPH. In Little's case, WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY too fast. He was driving 127 MPH, he lost control of the car, hit a guard rail, knocked down a pole. To top it off, Little was driving with an expired license plate. Little received a $350 fine, and yes THAT was ALL he got.

What the heck were they racing each other? Clearly Greg Little's case must have had the benefit of a nicer ride given that he's been in the league longer?

This also belongs in the Stupid Comments Around the League Thread

And what the heck is wrong with you that you can't get your license plates up-to-date??? What on earth is that all about? You can even do it online these days. Somebody seriously needs to punch Little in the face for this

Even if some miscarriage of justice frees Hernandez, I can not see a single team that would touch him after all that has come out.

Don't underestimate the idiocy of the NFL.  It's not like there aren't dozens of criminals and substance abusers already in the league.

Where there's smoke, there's fire.  Aldon Smith is the center of some trouble, nothing might come of it though.  But apparently he and Delanie Walker 'illegally fired weapons' at a 2012 house party.

This kid better not waste his talent.

Well, he won't get arrested but he might lose a gun licences(if he has one) and lose $$$$$$$$$.

But this if anything shows that stupid is as stupid does

Well the person who filed the lawsuit was shot at the party.  It was also the same party where Aldon got stabbed.  Sounds like a helluva party!

Probably the dumbest thing I've seen all week. First off, why are you even charging people $10 to get into your party?

www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000237963/article/aldon-smith-delanie-walker-named-in-suit-over-alleged-shooting

You're making $3.9mm and chargin folk $10 to come to your party. $5 per drink. Was he collecting up a donation for one of the less fortunate high schools in san jose that needed to purchase new jerseys? And then to get them to leave, you fire shots...because no other civilized approach proven to work in the history of house parties would have been more appropriate? Unbelievable

Sad thing is that he will be out there as their starting TE tonight like nothing happened. If this was any normal citizen and not a football player and we failed to appear in court, we still be in jail.

Nah, anyone could've gotten bail for evading a traffic court summons.  Surprised the NFL hasn't done anything, though,

Von Miller cited for driving w/ suspended license and speeding:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/broncos/2013/09/11/denver-broncos-von-miller-leagl-trouble-driving-without-license/2796865/

What is this guy thinking?

Wait, didn't he get in trouble for that a few weeks ago?  Or was that missing a court date?  Miller has got to get himself together because this is ridiculous.

This is new.  A few weeks ago was indeed missing the court date - around that time he was pulled over on a suspended license, but that wasn't reported by the media until the other day.

Dude is continuing to screw up.  I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL looked into this new citation as well and give him some more game suspensions.

Patriots DB Alfonzo Dennard could be facing jail time after violating the terms of his probation last July by drinking and driving.  He, of course, is on probation from the infamous incident in which he punched a cop.  He'll be sentenced in December, so perhaps he'll be spared the embarrassment of another Patriots playoff collapse.
