The Flock Training Camp Ticket Giveaway

78 posts in this topic

It was a dark and dreary night, my father just got home from working all day at the mill. My mom just finished cooking the potatoes we were to eat for dinner, when the sound came "Knock! Knock! Knock!".

Mom and Dad looked perplexed, "Who in the world could that be," my mom said. "Tell them to go away!" stated my dad. I ran to the door to answer, nobody was there. Just darkness.

At my feet was a Golden Ticket, "Admit Four to Training Camp." I screamed in joy. I've been praying every night by the window, under the moonlight, hoping somebody would answer my prayers.

All I've ever dreamed about was being able to see my favorite players up close. To escape my dark and gloomy surroundings and find something to cherish. I love the Ravens as much as anything a boy can love.

EPILOGUE
In the past I've always seen them practice, but this year (and last) one cannot without a Golden Ticket. It's like a light was turned off and we are living in darkness. But behold, be social media friendly, and you MIGHT get to go.

[sup]After attending the open practice last year, my family and I felt closer to the Ravens team than ever before. It was very memorable and showed how classy an organization the Ravens are to provide that opportunity to fans -- and fanatics like me! For me, personally, having only been in this area for a year after years of watching the team from afar and going to war with every person I encountered in yellow and black, it's truly a special feeling to be that close to the players and interact with them. Being that far away (coming from Hawaii), I absolutely learned not to take anything about the team I love for granted! Plus, today is Edgar Allan Poe's birthday!!!![/sup]

I would love to go Ravens training camp! I consider myself to be the biggest Ravens fan. They are a huge part of my life. I am an elementary school teacher in Pennsylvania. Even though I am constantly surrounded and hassled by Steelers fans, I keep my Ravens pride up and on display at all times. I have actually become known as the "Ravens teacher" in my building. You can guarantee that I will be wearing my Ravens gear every Friday. Plus, you may even hear Ravens stats popping up in my math lessons! :D My car, home, and my classroom are decorated in purple and black. I bleed Ravens purple! I cannot think of a better way to spend a summer day than to see my favorite football team up close. Being able to step foot on to 1 Winning Drive would be absolutely mindblowing and quite an honor. Not only would it make me the happiest person on earth, but my family (who are just as fanatic about the Ravens as I am) would be equally ecstactic. Please help us get there! Go Ravens!

I am a huge Ravens fan!!! A rugby fan turned Ravens maniac! I was out of the country and had to watch the entire 2011 season from Sri Lanka (an island south of India). Low broadband connectivity, lack of coverage, a totally different timezone were the least of my obstacles in watching the great raven games. Either way I watched every second of each game, no matter what it took. It was not the clearest of web casts, it was staggered and froze many a time, but I was with my Ravens. Now that I am back in the US I want to be there from the start! It starts with TRAINING CAMP! Get me there pleeeeeaseee!!!

Being able to watch, and possibly meet, the Ravens players up close and personal would simply be incredible. I live Ravens football. I have watched every round of every NFL draft, for as long as I can remember, just to see who the Ravens would pick. I mean, who else was sitting there and got excited when the team drafted Derek Abney out of UK in the 7th round? Despite living in Baltimore my whole life and being an absolute die hard fan, I have never gotten the chance to meet any of the players and am dying to do so. Even when training camp was held out at McDaniel/Western Maryland, my family would be out of town and I never got the chance to attend. This year, I was finally back from college and had the chance to go, but as we know, the setting and rules on attendance have changed. I live in Owings Mills and remember going out to greet the team at the old facility when they returned home from winning the Super Bowl. That was amazing. I would love to see the beginning of another Super Bowl winning year.

I would love to come to a training camp day because I just got into football last year, and chose this amazing team. I live Ravens now, with my car decked out in Ravens gear and my room filled with purple, white and gold. Every monday I proudly wear my Ravens Jersey and get booed and picked on all the time because my school is filled with Giants fans. I just went to Baltimore last weekend and was upset when i heard that the University of Maryland gives students discounted tickets to the Oriels, but not Ravens. I really want to come to a game, but my father refuses to bring me to a game, but he said i could go to a practice if I got tickets. Every year I have a fun goal, and this years is to go to a Ravens practice.I love the Ravens and really want to meet the team I proudly follow!
I just moved back to the area from South Carolina and I am so excited to see my Ravens all the time on TV! It was very difficult to catch the game without having to go to a bar that had the NFL package. I kept up with my computer and with The Flock but somehow it just wasnt enough. The last time i saw a game in person at M&T was all the way back in 2000. I have a whole room dedicated to the purple and black here in Glen Burnie. From coach Harbaugh, to Ed Reed and Joe to the most inspirational man i have ever seen, # 52, I just want the chance to see the very best team in football up close and personal and feel the energy through my whole body in person! They give me goosebumps just watching them on TV, imagine what seeing them live will do!!!!! AAAGGHHHH!!!! GO RAVENS!!!!

[sub]I would love to come see the greatest team on turf in the last decade. From Papillion, NE, I have been a Ravens fan for the last couple years and they haven't disappoint. The teamwork and dedication that they produce week in and week out would just make me smile especially since we don't have a pro team here. The mentors on and off the field, would make me cringe and be excited to support a awesome franchise with my girlfriend and friends.[/sub]

For multiple reasons, I will state why I would appreciate being chosen. #1. Training camp starts on July 25th, my birthday, so what better birthday gift? Secondly, I am going to Afghanistan in January, which means I will miss the Ravens winning the Superbowl since I will be at MOB (No TV, no outside connection until the actual deployment) The Baltimore Ravens are the only reason I watch the NFL and I am a fan of defense in all sports, and Baltimore in my opinion has the best defense. I hope you chose me!

Whatup.

i don't want them for myself.

If I win them, I will give them to:

GrimCoconut: so he and his girlfriend's dad can go see the Ravens practice

and I will give the other two to my aunt and uncle, who have been buying season tickets since I can remember, and gave me my Raven wings (and tons of Ravens freebies). They don't participate in The Flock so they cannot bid for the tickets.

I have made it a point to take my son ( who is now 13) to training camp every year at least once each summer so that he can see the importance of working hard and that regardless of what you have or don't have right now, you can be anything you put your mind to. These players come from all backgrounds and all incomes and yet they overcame odds to be successful and well respected in this community. I want my son to see that sportsmanship they have and want that for himself.

Here is my story. Ive been a huge Ravens fan since 1998, My entire family lives Ravens ! We attend home and away games whenever possible, and always support the players chairties. In 2009, I was given the name Queen Raven - Ive beat many men in Ravens trivia contests. Lets just say I know my team and its players, lol. Recently we found out my oldest sister has breast cancer and needed a double masectomy. I will be moving to TN in august to be with her for a few months. I will be missing my Ravens, But I vowel to find some way to see every game. As if having my sister battle breast cancer wasnt bad enough, I found out last week that I have Orbital Lymphoma in my left eye. In a time when nothing seems to be going right, it would be a blessing to hear our name called to attend training camp. Thank you for the consideration.

Last year when all the fans were upset about training camp moving from McDaniel I figured that the Raves would come up with an Idea like this. I try to always make the Ravens practices at M&T with my son an daughter because its one of the only times I/we can get to the stadium to see the team up close and behind the scenes. Whether you choose me or not I think its wonderful that you guys are doing this. Maybe next year you all could use McDaniel college as a satilite practice location. I think that area would appreciate having you all back for a day.

I would love to take my boys to training camp this year since they are still too young to goto a game. Not that I can take them to a game anyway because the scalpers snagged all the tickets this morning. Please switch to paperless tickets Ravens if you have to use Ticketmaster, using that system (where the ticket buyer has to swip their credit card to pick up the tickets) cuts down on the scalping. Go Ravens!

Just like everyone else on this site, I love the Ravens. However, I would love to go to training camp this summer because my football season is already going to be very different as I attempt a semester abroad and I would love to see the boys suit up in person before I leave. I have many late nights ahead of me staying up to watch our primetime games and following the gametrackers on ESPN. It would also be lovely to have a memory of this with my father before I head off for 4 months.

I will love to see the Ravens team in action live close up with my wife and kids. Not to mention that I worked for the company Gray & Son Construction. We just about all the concrete work at the site. It was a thing of beauty to be at the complex during construction. Now that it is finish I will love to see the castle as it is known with the staff in it as well. I was a little speck when the colts left really don't know how that felt. The one thing for sure is that I'm glad we have a great football team like the Ravens are and I would not trade them for any other team. I'm glad to be apart of history of football in the NFL even if I don't choose to attend camp. Always will love to be a Ravens fan for life!!!!

I’m a homer. I have followed this team since they arrived. My office leaves no doubt which team I back. I'm a season ticket holder. My buddies and I, over the last 7 years have followed this team on the road for one game each year. Hell, I even followed them into the belly of the beast, the Burg! I was waving a Ray Lewis jersey from a multi-level parking structure in the middle of downtown Pittsburg. Boy, the street below was all fired up for minutes after I stopped. I’m a true Ravens fan. I would love to see my team prepare for another run at the castle. I would also like to share that opportunity with a young man that I’m sure would get a big thrill out of seeing his favorite team. He could use something positive.

I work with several band wagon Steeler fans and would love to show them what a first class facility is (just pictures only)! We get into it every season as we argue over every detail of the teams, thought the way we dominated last year it's not much of a arguement.

GO RAVENS !!!!!

Arguing with Steelers fans is a hopeless cause. Let's just hope that they fall apart this year.

Well for the people who are lucky enough to get to go, make sure you take pictures and share them with the rest of the board. So that we can live vicariously through you.

Hopefully one day we too will get to see them in TC again. :(
