They have him getting 19 points against St. Louis week 1.
Which seems more unreasonable to you.
Also 10 catches for 120 is fairly unreasonable especially against the niners . Its not the yardage so much as the number of catches.

To give you an idea of how unreasonable that is, Calvin only surpassed 10 catches once... with 11... in week 17... Against Green Bay (league's worst defense)

Against San Fran last year he had 7 catches for 113 yards.
There was also the playoffs when he caught 12 balls for 211 yds and 2 TDs. He is clearly capable of going off on any team. Including the playoffs Johnson had 6 games where he caught 2 TDs so maybe he gets his points from multiple scores. I think these projections take a lot from previous performances against that team. Last season 7 catches for 113 yards thats not far from a 27 point game. Statistically it is more likely that Megatron scores a TD than not.

Thats a 10 point difference

113 = 11 points 7 receptions - 7 points

11 + 7 = 18.

You can argue he may get a touchdown - but then youre kinda screwing over they are using numbers from last year argument. Cant have the cake and eat it too.

Even factoring in the Saints game, thats still only 2x all season he got 10 receptions or more. Its not an easy feat to accomplish.

Im not debating whether or not calvin can go off or not, but to be fair against the same saints team in the regular season he was held to low numbers ( 6 catches for 69 yards).

Look will Megatron have some big games? Yeah. Will he go off as consistently as last year? Probably not. Its nothing against Megatron or anything, but even the most dominant of receivers for one reason or another usually dont repeat performances like Megatron's (Andre Johnson comes to mind from a couple of years ago, Randy Moss also).

Like I said projections mean nothing. Vick was projected last year to be amazing and ended up being a huge bust, to be fair he was a decent qb, but thats not what youre paying for when you use the number one overall pick on him (like many were advocating).

Johnson is going be to a fantasy beast again so end of discussion. I don't know how you guys let him fall to the 9th pick.

16 team league. Dearth of the most important position in fantasy. In hind sight since this was ppr I should have probably taken Charles but guess I cant be faulted for taking Sjax. The Cheifs offense didnt show anything through 3 games (Charles looked okay, but the overall offense itself was abysmal which isnt good for the running game)

I agree that projections mean nothing, but there is a good shot that Megatron will be a monster once again. He is far and away the best WR -- in a PPR it's not quite as big of a difference though because guys like Brandon Marshall, Roddy White, and Wes Welker will have more catches. He has way too many huge games for it to be fluky though because no one can cover him.

Im not saying its flukey just that its difficult even for Calvin to repeat.

The best part about drafting last in a 16 team league is being #1 on the waiver wire for the start of the season. Now I just have to make sure it counts.

Just an FYI, I left league pick 'em on. What that means, for those not familiar with it, is that you can pick the winner of each game in our league, and it'll keep track of who's got the most right. Just like normal pick 'em for real NFL games. It's there if you care, there's nothing to gain nor lose from it

Eh.. your team looks alright. LOL JK

Although im not too big on your favorite position of RB's seeing as none of them know how to catch the ball in a PPR league... :eyes:

You guys should just hold hands and kiss already?

In REALTALK...My team was dubbed "Deadliest Sleeper Team" award by most NFL pundits and was blessed by "Deuce" the football god of shake n' bake.

Most likely to come up from nowhere and beat the living crap out of every team...

i drafted 14/16 slim pickings for ppr rbs at that point. I wanted solid contribution so I avoided sproles and charles (touch distribution + acl still worried me)

Not sure what to think of it, but it does seem weird. I mean obviously elmo is getting a good deal but witten is hurt so who knows. I mean I dont see much collusion in that one.

Seems a bit lopsided, but Rogers could have a big year in Atl.
doesnt nearly balance out giving up a possible top 5 TE. Im leaning toward vetoing it, but Id like to hear the reasoning from the owners before I do that. It may just be a rip off, but Id at least like to know that

I understand the logic. Rodgers has a lot of upside, especially in a PPR league while Jones is a wasted roster spot as long as Murray stays healthy. Lewis is fine as a #2 TE. He had a bad season last year but 2 years ago he had 10 TDs. Witten is getting older and already has injury concerns. Besides besides obvous collusion i think its wrong to veto any trade.

Says the guy who boasts about getting Colston for Hillis.

I should post the sales pitch you were throwing my way LOL!

I am not high on Lewis this year so I don't think it is a fair trade at all. The person getting Witten wins by far. It is a backup TE (only because of 16 man league) and an ok backup RB for a top TE and an ok backup RB.

Rodgers >>>> Felix Jones. You have to look at the whole roster and not just the players. The team trading Witten already has Vernon Davis, but has not RB depth. Rodgers is an upgrade by a lot over Jones. Personally, I wouldnt do the deal and just play Witten as my Flex but there is a good chance his production falls off this year.

difference is I could rip you off cause I had leverage and hey look at the numbers for yourself. I didnt lie to you and actually made a logical argument

Just for the record, if its a rip off I will not veto. I just want to know its not collusion. Giving up the handcuff to a supposedly injury prone back and a top 5 tight end for not even a flex starter at rb and not even a top 10 te is pretty outrageous.

My reasoning for the trade seems obvious, specially since I have nooooo TE's... When Air Cameron sent the proposal, I didn't think long to accept.

How in the heck does Andre Johnson get almost 31pts for just 8 catches, 111 yards and ONE TD... is something out of wack here????
