This week described my season in a nutshell. Getting close, often thanks to luck, but never close enough. Why couldn't this be a blowout like two weeks ago?? :P

I'll be monitoring how everyone does the rest of the way; may the best (and luckiest) man win!
That was really close. Seattle almost gave me a heart attack.

I'm going to get murdered this week by ER. He's projected for 170 points w/ some fantastic matchups. I'm going to need some luck to advance with my bad matchups and no Dez Bryant.

Gabe vs. Sizzle should be a barn-burner. This is a tough week to play Sizzle. Peyton Manning, D Thomas & Moreno against our depleted defense and Lynch vs a bad Bills run defense.

I'd love to hang 170+ on you but I'll be happy with just a win. My team's underachieved several weeks in a row despite numerous favourable match-ups. We'll see how things shake out.

Its hard to see how your guys won't perform this week. You have Doug Martin playing NO, who just got thrashed by David Wilson. Plus the GB guys against a reeling, injured Bears defense.I'm just hoping my guys overachieve this week, as I am looking at a lot of red dots when setting my lineup.

The good news is at least we don't have any Thursday Night people and we should know the outcome by the end of the Sunday day games (unless close - Sunday Night).

With a combined 84.00 points from the RB position, Go Flacco Yourself got the highest combined scoring output from the RB position for any team this season.

Basically describes my fantasy week.

On top of that a new offense is being installed which could mean one of two things both benefit me

1. Shootout
2. Offense struggles and Peyton gets the ball more in terms of T.O.P

Furthermore, Romo lost his best receive Dez Bryant and while he could play, I doubt he will be effective. Romo also gets Pitt this week

Alfred Morris's production should take a hit with Kirk at QB and even if RG3 plays the option wont be as effective.

The Chicago rematch with Greenbay happens again and Greenbay's D should have Woodson and Matthews back so Forte doesnt look too promising.

The Pats play SF this week so Wes Welker and Hernandez while they are still the guys will have a tough time. I expect a GB-49ers style game, but much lower scoring as the Pats rush D is good while SF has the personnel to shutdown and get to Brady.

What works in his favor is that the lions get Arizona this week so Megatron will go off.

Interestingly enough, Gabe has decided to go with Flacco as his qb

Its a high risk/high reward scenario especially against a Denver defense thats top 5 in the league.

I see All-Day crushing Brady more then once. I can't wait. NONE of those Pats olineman can handle the Smiths, and Hernandez and Solder will have their hands full.

I wouldnt underestimate the pats, but the 49ers are much better than the Texans have been lately.

I don't underestimate them, but the 9ers D will show up and even if they lose... Brady is going to get hit and it won't be the 9ers "biggest game in franchise history" . LoL.

Lol this should be fun. I'm glad finals are finally over for me. This one is gonna be a real thriller.

Interestingly enough, our fantasy qbs are playing each other irl (yea obv I know). That should make the Ravens Broncos game twice as interesting.

Lol true enough, but the way I see it it works out well for me and the ravens any way you slice it,

The offense does poorly

1. We end up paying Flacco less money
2. Probably a higher pick in the draft so better talent
3. Norv Turner
4. My fantasy team doing well offsets the sting from the Ravens losing

The offense does well
1. Shoot out
2. Flacco gets to prove he is elite
3. Our team may actually have a shot in playoffs
4. My fantasy team will probably still do well

Haha fair enough. I prefer the option: Ravens jump out to an early lead and dominate because they are so happy to be rid of Cam Cameron. Flacco has a huge day proving all along it was Cam's idiotic schemes and play-calling that has been holding him back. Our defense rebounds in a big way and shuts down the Denver Mannings!

Lol I would prefer that too, except for the tiny fact that our D has never been able to shut Peyton down unfortunately. With such a lack of talent this year, it isnt looking too likely to change

We shut him down in 06' and 09' playoffs, our offense just crapped the bed.

I wouldnt call 09 a shutdown because 250 and 2tds is still pretty good but 06 yea we did, however, that 06 defense was pretty special even for our standards and might be the second best defensive year we have ever had.
I agree about 06' but I dont think Peyton has always dominated our defense either. We handled him in the 09' regular season as well forcing him into a couple picks. I think he will be good, but I wouldnt count on 3+ TDs and 300+ yards.

You may be right, but I think I could expect one of the two either 3 tds or 300 yards and if he throws 2 tds I can probably expect moreno to get one
I dont think Moreno will be very effective in this match-up, but he will probably catch a few ball to add value in our format.

And the prelude begins
Well we both had pretty strong starts, except for Geno Atkins laying a 0 for you. It's probably going to be a high-scoring match-up.

yea that was shocking but the tbh it makes no real difference. I was only expecting like 3-4 from atkins anyway so yea. Kinda funny that the bengals D outscored the lawfirm tho and you almost lost the 100 yard bonus when he hit negative yardage

HA! I know I almost flew off the handle when he got negative yards. That was close, but I'll take 21 points from him any day. I just have to hope my defense can match yours. Detroit has a fantastic match-up against Arizona but you never know.

True enough. You're pretty much betting your season on that game. If it ends up being only decent for you, you may be in trouble.

I mean the way I see, Flacco will give you okay numbers but Peyton will outproduce him in all liklihood. I expect Caldwell to give Rice a heavy workload tho.

My runningback core just kills yours with some tasty matchups and Forte has a brutal matchup. Doesnt help that cutler isnt 100% and the same goes for rg3 since I doubt we will see that triple option as much.

As for the pats, you're just hoping they produce close to normal given their tough matchup. I mean I cant imagine you expecting them to blow up.

Well the Niners really struggle against slot receivers, so I like the match-ups for both Welker and Hernandez. I think Welker especially will have 10+ catches and probably 100 yards. Megatron is Megatron.

As for the RBs I have to disagree. I dont think Gore will have a big day against NE who have really shut down the run and Moreno isnt in a great match-up either. Even the Bills have been playing much better against the run as of late.

I dont love Morris going against Cleveland, but with RG3 possibly out or limited I think the Skins offense will run through him. I also like Forte against GB. They arent a great run defense by any stretch. They are basically a little below average when it comes to letting up fantasy points to opposing backs and Forte will also catch some balls.

At QB you definitely have an advantage, but I do like Flacco in this game. I think the Ravens will show a lot of no-huddle and try to slow down Denver's pass-rush. Flacco was exceptional early in the season and I think he can have a similar type of performance.

My IDP's are where I have the biggest advantage IMO.

I dont see your idps as a huge advantage. Tillman no question is great, but Landry is no slouch either. He probably wont match Tillman's production, but he will be able to score enough to possibly negate any major damage tillman would normally do. He also has a tasty matchup this week. At linebacks I have guys that are just straight up beasts.

The Niners are going to do much better than Texans did. I dont think either of your guys eclipse 100 but hernandez may get a td. I see this game going kind of like week 1 GB vs San Fran. I see 24-20 Niners winning just cause they will control T.O.P.

While the Pats D is good against the run, volume will be my ally. Gore is going to get his 20 carries and will be effective because of Kapernick (similar to Morris and RG3). Miami has a much better run D than the pats, and Gore still got 80 a few catches and a td so I can expect about the same or better with the pats.

Lynch will get his 20+ touches as usual and the I suspect the Seahawks will be near the goal line a lot so he should punch 1 or 2 in. Oddly enough we saw them incorporate a little option offense against the bears too

Moreno is pretty much guaranteed 20+ touches and as much as it pains me to say this, we havent been good against the run at all.

As for your guys

Forte has never eclipsed 100 total yards ever in his career vs GB so thats not working in your favor.

Morris will be the guy, but without RG3's triple option to confuse defenses (whether RG3 plays or not) he definitely wont be as effective, but again volume may or may not work in your favor. Cleveland's D isnt terrible tho.
