Parking

Not to be rude or anything.. but you should consider putting "finding parking" into your game day scheduele.. or just buy a parking pass... theres tons of lots around.. you just need to be able to find your way to the game from those places.

I hate to give away my secret, but juding from the number of other Ravens fans I see it's not much of a secret. There is a garage at Lombard and Hanover that is only $10.00. It's about a 15 minute walk to the stadium, past Oriole Park and through Raven's Way. I usually get there about an hour before game time and there is no problem parking. Sometimes it is a little tighter for later games b/c of other Harbor tourists. If you come from the north (south on 95) I suggest taking the Key Hwy exit, hang a right on Light Street and a left onto Lombard. You avoid a lot of stadium traffic.

Why can't I buy a parking pass from someone the same same way I bought my PSL. This control mechanism of list only is causing problems and driving costs up. The list causes an extreme lack of liquidity in the parking pass marking and that lack of liquidity is driving prices through the roof. In this economic environment I don't see any reason why we should be paying more for parking too.

You can, but only on a season by season basis.

I bought one last year from someone who advertised on craig's list but he let it go back. Now it is offered to someone at the top of the list. about 25 to 30 year wait to get there. I see where people are selling single game parking passes for as much as 120 dollars. Crazy!

<< Where are the seasonal parking passes advertised?

Call Central Parking 410-347-9330. I know many people that are giving up J lot because they have found other parking so you may be able to pick up something for this year.
Thirteen hours after Marylanders voted to legalize slot-machine gambling, Baltimore officials approved yesterday the city's $4.1 million purchase of land south of downtown for a proposed casino.
This is J lot.
n Baltimore yesterday, the city Board of Estimates voted 4 to 1 to pay $4.1 million for a parking lot site the city hopes to lease to developers vying to bring slots to the city. The land, currently used for Ravens football parking, was appraised at $3.7 million, said M. Jay Brodie, the president of the Baltimore Development Corp.

Brodie defended paying the 15 percent premium, saying the city needs to control the land by Feb. 1 to offer it as part of a slots venue. Taking the land by eminent domain could result in a protracted court battle with a judge and jury deciding the price, Brodie said.

Now that it owns the land, the city's next step is to present state lottery officials with Baltimore's expectations of the type of development and how much rent it will expect from a gambling operator, said Deputy Mayor Andrew Frank. The lottery will include that information in solicitations for bidders in December
Based on my conversations with the Ravens, only club level PSL owners and Suite owners get parking passes, so I don't understand how the lots are completely filled. It seems that even if there was a car for every club level seat there still should be room in the lots.

It's more complex than that:

While originally parking was a club seat PSL perq on Lots B/C, that's no longer necessarily true. Only a few club seats PSL owners (in the most premium seats) can now get parking, while older club PSL owners can renew their spots.

Lot H was sold out in 1998 on a first/come/first served basis for any PSL owner, and those late requesters were put on a very slowly revolving waiting list.

Lot J was completely sold out a couple seasons back, but, if casino construction hasn't started by August, may have spaces available for part of this season (as former Lot J members find other spots in the face of Lot J being demolished for the new slots casino).
The Lot J Annex should survive the casino construction, since it is on city park land. For the past two seasons, Lot J Annex did sell parking passes on a first come first serve basis.

Here's what's at the Ravens website:
Parking Availability

Non-disabled parking for M&T Bank Stadium events is typically sold in advance and is by permit only. For Ravens games, all stadium lots are sold out to permit holders
