According to Aaron Wilson, Tucker will handle all kicking duties tonight with Cundiff getting the night off.

If this is the case for tonight's game, Tucker I'll be pullin' for ya, prayin' for ya, and crossing everything I got that you nail every kick on the head!!!

Go Tucker!!!

If you missed it, check out Tucker's audio interview on WNST for August 22nd. He was a true professional and a top knotch class act, very gracious and humble young man. (as opposed to Cundiff's "flavor of the week" comment)

It's trial by fire for Tucker. It would seem that if he performs, there is no choice, he gets the job.

Good Luck Justin!!!!!!

Well, next game will be field goals all day long, so I guess that makes up for Cundiff not kicking tonight. I'm not sure I could support the FO anymore if they decided to keep Cundiff after keeping him out tonight and giving him 1 or 2 field goals from within the 40 next week.

53 yard field goal splitting the uprights with plenty of leg to spare....$2.5 million in cap space

Cut scene to Billy Cundiff with the long face because it's so clear he's losing his job fair and square.....PRICELESS!!!

LET THE TUCKER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think y'all are reading too much into Cundiff getting the night off. Maybe it means he gets cut, but that's not how I interpret the phrase "getting the night off." I think all it means is that we needed to see Tucker take all the pressure and succeed.

Harbaugh still said Cundiff did great in the practices which is a flat out lie. Why does he do this? He better make the right decision.
He also was non commitial when asked if the Kicking battle will still continue into next game.

I beleive his quote was, "Well we have a few decisions to make".

I'm not sure when Ravens Nation will start to understand that Harbs is a class act and will rarely bad mouth anybody, especially his players. He basically gave Cundiff a built in excuse for why he wasn't playing, so when the obvious questions comes from reports, Billy would have a out.

But if we're reading between the lines. Harbs said..... Justin Tucker proved everything we needed him to prove tonight and he'll be our Kicker. We'll have plenty of time to deal with the Cundiff questions after his release on Monday.

This is good. I like this news. This is good news. I like this. Very much indeed.
HOWEVER if this is true I wish Cundiff all the best in the next stage of his life..

I agree that it was Tucker's test, however why gave a guy who's clearly in a competition any gameday off, expectly when the battle is so close?

You only do that for 1 of two reasons, either the guy getting the day off is clearly the winner and the other guy is just fighting for a backup job. OR You already know what you'll get from that guy and just want to see more of the other guy.

I think it was the latter, but if you're Billy Cundiff and you've been talking about how it's not a real competition, you're just competing against yourself, or you're saying how the coaches basically told you it's already your Job....you have to feel some kind of way, knowing that basically all the Starters see their most action in game 3, yet you're sitting on the sidelines as a healthy inactive.

Yep, they said they want to cut him loose now so he still has a chance with another team.
