Billy is missing again... No suprise here. Billy can never make anything past 50+ yard what good is that. Tucker is nailing the long balls and barely missing. I think Cundiff will no longer be with us anymore, so hang in there.

i dont know what the stats are to back this up but id say you could probably knock 10% of practice kicks for game time, roughly, over the course of peoples careers. Meaning Cundiff at this rate would kick about 70% Tucker about 85%. In fact there is probably no data to back that up at all, but you'd expect the % to drop in game situtations
yea I don't think there is any stats to back that up, but commonsense would suggest that you are right. it will be much more difficult to kick in Cleveland, Cincy and Pitt once the weather goes from prefect to miserable. Even kicking at the Bank will become more difficult in December then it is now. So that is an adjustment that Tucker will have to make.

With that said, Tucker seems like a very confident, accurate, and consistent Kicker, so while he will have some misses this season, he could still be a 85-90% Kicker. I like his chances.

Tucker is flat out kicking Cundiff so far but im sure even if Billy does leave someone will get him because hes not the worst kicker.

I'm beginning to think that unless a FA becomes available after cuts that the team is really interested in and needs cap to secure, neither gets cut. I feel that Tucker wins the starting job and they place Billy on IR or the PUP as insurance to at least begin the season since they have to pay him anyway. I could be wrong but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Considering Cundiff's string of misses, anyone else see Tucker kicking for the first team tomorrow?
Na they have said already that cundiff will kick first

Yeah, Harbs already said that Cundiff will be starting the game... which I disagree with after this past week of practice, but he's still the incumbent, so...

Ah, I didn't know that. Fair enough. Let's hope all three offensive units play well and give both kickers ample opportunities.

The way the offense preformed at first you really couldnt chance to tell. I mean we went 3 and out so fast I didnt even realize we had a offense on the field.

What is the benefit of this? Only one guy can Kick at a time, If the Ravens were gonna do something like that, then we should have kept Shane Graham last season entering the playoffs.

Also, why would Cundiff stick around to be IRed, if he placed on that list he can't play at all. Cundiff is a servicable Kicker and much like Graham for us last season, he'll be able to provide insurance for some team(maybe even the Ravens) off the streets.

Also what does that say for both Tucker and Cundiff. Hey Tucker you're our guy, but we're gonna hang on to Billy just in case you can't cut it. We beleive in you, just not that much.

Hey Billy, we're gonna go with the Kid. We think you are good enough to kick in the league, you're just not as good as Tucker. We still have condifence in you and by no way are we saying that we're giving up on you, it's just that we don't think you're our guy right now.

The Kicking position is really like none other on the team, because there is only 1 guy who plays that position on a team. There was a time when carrying 2 might have been feasible, but since the KO have been moved up, there is no need.

One of these guy will have to go, and the way it's looking Cundiff will be that guy.

Actually, he is.

http://pfref.com/tiny/JYF8G

Of all kickers since 2002 (Cundiff's first year) with at least 125 attempts, the most accurate is our man Matt Stover, 86.8%. The least accurate is our man Cundiff, 76.7%. That's a 10% difference! That's the Ravens going from the MOST reliable kicker to the LEAST reliable.

If you just look at all ACTIVE kickers, regardless of seasons, just the guys still playing, with at least 125 attempts, he is, once again, LAST.

http://pfref.com/tiny/woyM3

Heck, even if you remove the 125 attempt limitation, and include all the young guys without as much experience and with fewer kicks, you can still only find 5 guys in the NFL today with a lower percentage than Cundiff, one of whom has only 1 single career attempt! And 2 more of those 5 guys are free agents who can't find a team, and the other 2 unlikely to win the starting job on their team as either better career accuracy vets were brought in for competition, or the primary guy is returning from an injury and can takeover as the starter again.

Basically what I'm saying is, Cundiff is the worst kicker in the league, except for MAYBE a couple of guys who haven't had as many attempts to prove whether their numbers are reflective of their skill or not and who probably aren't even going to be starters this season to get that chance to prove it. So it's Cundiff all alone at the bottom.

You guys think that if Tucker does well tonight and continues to do so in practice, Cundiff will be cut in the first rounds of cut?
