Defensive Line - Who Stays And Who Goes?

Starters:
Halolti Ngata (DT) - He'll once again be the anchor of our defensive line. One of the best players in the league that is a true force on the line.
Terrence Cody (NT) - He'll be starting at NT. He showed a lot of his potential last year, and finally seems poised to make the next step. He eats 2-3 blockers which is exactly what he should be doing.
Pernell McPhee/Arthur Jones (DE) - I'm combining them since they'll both see the field a lot and both are guaranteed. Arthur Jones is more of a strength lineman, although he's added some speed recently. He's more of a run stuffer than a pass rusher. Pernell McPhee is a big guy who can plug up holes and rush the passer. Most of his time should come on 3rd downs, but he could also pull away the starting gig.
The Other Guys:
Ryan McBean (DE) - Why is he not in the poll? Well, he's suspended to start the season and won't need a roster spot right away. He's shown up big time in practice this year so a spot will be cleared for him when his suspension is up.
DeAngelo Tyson (DE) - A rookie out of Georgia that doesn't stand out in any aspect of his game, but should be a solid player as a backup. He was drafted for depth and that's exactly what he should provide.
Ma'ake Kemoeatu (DT/NT) - A former Raven that is a big body. He's always been good at plugging up the holes, but can he do that at an older age? He lost almost 100 pounds to get back into playing shape. Another guy brought in for depth.
Bryan Hall (DE/DT) - An undersized, but faster DE that spent last year on the PS. He's got potential as a pass rusher, but doesn't necessarily have the strength to break through the line. If he can refine his quickness, his ability in the pass rush could improve.
Ishmaa'ily Kitchen (NT) - He'll make it on the name alone. Kidding aside, he's another big body that is incredibly strong. He'll eat up blockers and plug up the holes. Apparently he has some conditioning and work ethic issue that have held him back in college, but it's unknown whether that has changed.
Nick-Jean Baptiste (NT) - Another big body that can plug the holes in the line. A lot of people thought he would be drafted, but slipped out of the draft and offers some good potential. Has he shown enough to beat out Kemo and Kitchen?
Terrence Moore (DE) - In this case, no news is bad news. We haven't heard his name except that he's a hard worker. UDFA's need to make their name be heard, but he seems like a camp body anyway.
So, to wrap up, it looks like 4 guys are guaranteed, with the backup position completely open. Some may have a leg up, but things can change. How many lineman do we keep and who comes out on top?

Hopefully Haloti Ngatas added weight will help him get that power back, he said it so I will say it, he disappeared last year and we cant have that this year with Suggs out for the majority of the season.
Baptiste or Kitchen will be fun to watch, hopefully we will be able to PS the one who doesnt make the team.

Ngata
Cody
A. Jones
McPhee
Hall
McBean
Kitchen
Baptiste
This is a perfect blend of youth, experience, and guys that can rush. Don't be surprised if Jones steps up as a passrush. I really see Bryan Hall as a diamond in the rough.

We typically keep 8 DL so here are my 8.
Ngata
Cody
A. Jones
McPhee
Hall
McBean
Kitchen
Baptiste

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we only carried 6 DLinemen last year, on the active roster: Ngata, Cody, Redding, McPhee, A. Jones and Brandon McKinney. I don't think we have the room to carry 8 DLinemen.
With that theory, I'm thinking:
Ngata
Cody
McPhee
Jones
McBean
Kemo
with Tyson and Kitchen on the PS.
If we carry eight, what position do we subtract from?

You are right. We carry 6, maybe 7 Dline. McBean cant start the season because of his suspension so I would think Tyson might make the team to start. He might make it flat out if Kemo doesnt have it anymore. Kitchen is my sleeper to make the team, but PS is more likely for him.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we only carried 6 DLinemen last year, on the active roster: Ngata, Cody, Redding, McPhee, A. Agree completely. I think we keep 7, not counting McBean initially. Once he comes back someone will get cut / moved to PS. Also, I don't think you waste a pick on someone unless you think they have a good chance to make the team so I think Tyson makes it.
Week 1:
Ngata
Cody
McPhee
Jones
Kemo
Tyson
Kitchen or Hall (with the other hopefully on the PS)
Once McBean comes back he takes the 7th spot and they try to slip 1 guy to the PS.

2 QB
4 RB/FB
3 TE
7 WR
9 OL
7 DL
8 LB
10 DB
3 (K, P, LS)
So, you're correct that 7 DL will likely be the number. So, my amended list for defensive line is:
Ngata
Cody
McPhee
Jones
McBean
Hall
Kitchen
I really like Bryan Hall. Passrush ability.
