Why is AJ Hawk's story in this thread lol? Anyway, afraid it is over for Troy Smith. He wasn't terrible in SF I don't know why he hasn't gotten another opportunity. The Squeelers situation was wrong from the beginning because they love Batch even though they knew Dixon would likely walk. Hope he has another chance somewhere. But sorry...can't come home lol. Ravens are set.

As a backup, probably. As a starter? The 49ers chose to keep Alex Smith over him, which tells me all I need to know.

Ya, I think Troy can be a backup on somebody's roster... but I think his days of realistically becoming a franchise starter are over.
